Cuz Bose has some odd proprietary stuff=who know’s y it is not charging.
When in doubt return either your iPod or the Bose.
I wouldn’t return the iPod – as Apple products are great [and I'm not even an apple fanboy].
Nothing beats them for portable electronics.
So return the Bose.
Bose is known for compatibility issues and high prices… and mediocre sound quality, and horrible sound fidelity!
Don’t know what else it can be… try unplugging power to sounddock, then try everything again.
Good Luck!
