I have a very buggy 30gb Zune and I’m trying to save up money for a new MP3 player. The main reason I want an iPod is because they are more compatible with docking stations (including ones in the car- and I do plan on getting a car with iPod integration).
I have a lot of music on my Zune, so an iPod Nano or Shuffle don’t have enough storage space. I love the idea of watching videos on my MP3 player (short clips while walking on the treadmill). However, I rarely use my MP3 players in a wi-fi enabled area, and I have an Android smartphone.
My smartphone, however, doesn’t have Netflix and some of the apps available for Apple.
I pretty much just use my Zune to listen to music, books, or podcasts while relaxing, driving, or working out.

I want to know if the usb cord that comes with the Ipod is the same as the one that’s used with the Zune? Are most of the accessories for the Zune compatible with the Ipod or are they totally different? I have an Ipod touch, I ordered an FM transmitter and it says it’s for the Zune but the picture on the Ebay listing showed an Ipod on the picture. It looks like they actually use the same little plug in the picture.
If it helps, I have an Ipod Touch.

I have found it to be the biggest inconvenience for me to transfer all my music from my laptop to my computer because I am using Itunes. I have an older Ipod and was planning on getting a new one soon and was wondering if other MP3 players, such as the Zune were just as difficult as the Ipod. I like the Itunes store, but do not use any Ipod accessories.

I have a ONKYO AV Receiver TX-SR 702 amplifier
I have two acer AL1715 monitors
I have a Dell ST2210 monitor
I have 5 sony speakers
I have a laptop with hdmi and vga out
I have a dell dimension C521 desktop with an upgraded gpu that has dual dvi output
I have a zune hd dock that I would like to use both with my zune 120 and zune hd with
I’m just wondering how to wire all of that up?
I’ll help with my basic plan, please correct it if you see any mistakes.
I’ll start with my desktop, it will be connect to all three of the monitors, one of the acers will be connected permanently with my home screen being on that, the other dvi output will be connected to a dvi switcher that will be connected to the other two monitors. The amp will be connected through hdmi to the dell monitor as that being the amps only video output source. The video input sources to the amp through hdmi will be the hd zune dock and the laptop. The zune dock video input will be connected to the amp through hdmi, but also a composite video, this is an issue because I’m not sure if my amp will convert composite video in to an hdmi signal out. If not I am thinking of buying a composite video to vga converter to plug directly into the dell display. For the audio, the desktop will not be connected to the amp, it’s connected to the to acer montiors, the acer monitors have speakers built-in. For the amp, the zune hd dock will use the optical cable for audio while using the zune hd, the zune hd dock will use stereo audio cables for audio while using the zune 120. For the laptop I’m assuming that the hdmi cable will suffice as the audio for the amp, not requiring an optical like the zune hd dock. Lastly hooking up the speakers to the amp, I already have a 5.1 system, but the amp can accommodate up to 7.1, so I might add 2 speakers more some time, I was wondering if it will support 7.1 through hdmi or optical?

My ipod has aproxx 150 songs and i want to import them into my itunes library, how do i do that? Usually if i have songs in my itunes library it would send the songs into my ipod and delete the others. I’m afraid that if I connect my ipod with an empty itunes, it’d delete y songs. Any suggestions, and no flaming please, that includes saying the zune is better than the ipod.
i have a zune and companies are making "ipod friendly" products, such as chairs, cars, speakers, etc. I need to find a device that connects my zune to the ipod dock.
I bought a Zune and I want to buy a docking station with speakers and all I see is iPod compatible….will my Zune plug in?
I am being very rebellious in my family and got a zune a oppose to an Ipod and need to plug into the thousands of accessories my family has (zune owners you know why, too expensive!) and Ipod accessories are CHEAP!
So in short does anyone know where to get an adapter to plug into ipod output to do zune input or find components to get one and how to make it
I’ts not just for the car it’s for all the accessories
Also the car is an Audi TT coupe ’08
look it up if you don’t know what it is
I have an iHome that uses an iPod dock connector. I also have an iHome boombox. I’m thinking of getting a zune so I can use my napster account more easily. Is there a way to convert the iDock connector to a Zune connector?
I’ve had an Ipod for about 5 years. My Ihome, Car Stereo, even massage chair all have made for Ipod connectors. Is there any way I could use a Zune with these? A dongle would be great.
Are iPod speakers and that kind of thing compatible with other mp3 players? I really like Apple’s alarm clock dock but I own a Zune. So are iPod and mp3 docks/stereos compatible and interchangable?
