Hi, I have an iPod Classic, and an iPod Dock. Here is a link to what the dock looks like:

So, I was wondering if there was any possible way to connect my iPod to my computer, while sitting in the Dock? And for reference, the dock does not have any sort of audio out capabilities.

On the iPhone Dock, it includes "Phone, Web, Mail and –iPod–".

Take a look at the fourth one, the orange, "iPod" application, that once launched shows your music library, and a tab at the bottom allowing you to access your videos from the same application.

Is there any way at all to receive this for the iPod Touch? It saves dock space, and I prefer it over having an option for music and video separately. I know with a certain application (I forget the name) you’re able to click a small light at the bottom of the screen and see all your applications, and you can acess the orange iPod application from there, but ONLY there.

Is there anyway, as I asked, to be able to have this orange "iPod" application available to launch from the homescreen?

I need a 5.1 or lower system since I hate wires and my apartment is pretty small. Should I go for an A/V receiver separately from the speakers for a better deal? or buy an Onkyo set or something together? I also ideally want an iPod dock, is there anyway for me to implement that myself if I buy a system without iPod dock, or it has to come pre-implemented? Thanks in advance!

Okay, the particular requirements I’m looking for are as follows:

- Charges the iPod Nano Chromatic (fourth generation)
- Comes with a remote
- Not too expensive
- Nice sound quality would be pretty great, too.

I had an Altec Lansing inMotion, but it’s kinda old, my brother stole it, and it doesn’t charge my Nano Chromatic.
So, what do you recommend?

My iPod is 5th generation video 60GB. On standard apple docking it charges perfect. When I put it into IceLink cradle in my car it works fine but does not charge. The very same happens when I put it into my new JBL ON STAGE II cradle, it works good but does not charge (the device is plugged to the outlet of course). What is the solution?

At the moment, I’ve got a PS3, SKY+ HD and my TV is a Sony Bravia KDL-40X2000. I’m looking to get a good A/V receiver that can handle uncompressed 7.1 sound. I just want one HDMI cable going from each box (PS3 and SKY HD)to the receiver and one HDMI cable going into the TV.

With this, I’m looking to get a 7.1 speaker set that can plug into the A/V receiver.

I’m really looking to spend about £600-£800 altogether on the speakers and receiver.

Any advice on the best Receiver/speakers I can get for this price would be great!

As you can probably tell, I’m a bit of a noob to this Home Theatre stuff and I want to be able to dock my iPod with the receiver. I’ve found this Remote Interactive dock thing ( Onkyo DS-A2X Remote Interactive Dock: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo) and I was wondering if anyone could explain what it does and what it plugs into.

I absolutely love the Billy Idol "Cradle of Love" video. I found it online, but it won’t play on my iPod. I tried to convert it in iTunes, but when I did, the sound disappeared. Does anyone have a source for that video in MP4 format so I can download it on my iPod? Thanks in advance for any help!
