Personally, I have an iPhone 3GS because I have T-Mobile. But my sister just asked me to sync some of my songs from my iTunes to her iPhone 4. After I was done, I played a song aloud just for fun. I noticed the sound wasn’t that loud, so I covered one speaker and put my ear to the other and noticed it doesn’t work. I’m talking about those two speakers on each side of the dock connector on the bottom of the iPhone. Then she showed her boyfriend this problem, and saw that the same speaker on his (the left speaker) doesn’t work. I personally found this pretty damn embarrassing, seeing that you need a case just to get reception if your left-handed. And now this. Anyone else having this problem?
"top contributor", those two grills on each side of the dock connector on the bottom, those are speakers. I don’t know if you have a Chinese tPhone or something with one speaker, but every new iPhone has two on the bottom? My 3GS plays music through both of the speakers on the bottom

Okay – so we all know the new iPhone has been released as of today. However, what of us with the original? I download the most current iTunes(7.7) to get the software update for the iPhone. It turns out there’s a major glitch in their system. I cannot sync my iPhone to get the new updates because I keep getting, "cannot access iTunes store" when I dock the phone. What the hell is going on? Because of this, the phone is useless until this thing gets resolved! Is anyone else experiencing the same problem?

I have a new laptop after my other one broke. The only place for my music now is on my ipod as my old itunes is unavailable. When i downloaded itunes for my new laptop i tried to sync my ipod but was unable to as it was already synced to the itunes on my old laptop. I was wondering if there was anyway to get the music from my ipod to my new itunes without losing all of the music as my new itunes wants to erase my ipod.

I let my friend put all her songs on my iPod a while back.
But now I’ve downloaded a lot of new music, but when I try to sync my iPod, it says that it will erase all the music I have to replace the NEW music.

How can I put my new songs, onto my iPod, while keeping my old songs, all at the same time?

I’ve bought about 80 directly from my ipod, and I need to sync my ipod, but on a different computer because our old one broke down. This itunes has different songs from my old itunes. All I care about are the songs I purchased from my ipod I don’t care about all my other songs.

Okay, so when I was like 10, I got a new computer. When I hooked my iPod up to it, I lost all my songs. I just got a new computer, and I would like to know how to sync my iPod (meaning put all of the music from it) on my new computer. I looked up other questions like this, but I couldn’t understand the computer terms. Any simplified answers?

My iPod settings is set so that it automatically syncs with my iTunes. However, my old computer died so a lot of my music was lost. I want to switch my iPod settings to the "manually manage music" option without plugging it into my new computer (cause then it will automatically sync with my new iTunes and I’ll lose a lot of music).

Is there a way to switch your preference without plugging in your iPod?

However, now I have absolutely no idea how to make them sync right so when I remove the ipod it won’t undo the synced files..Any help would be wonderful! Thank you.
I believe its either an ipod classic or ipod video, they appear similar to me.

I just recently got a new comp, because my last one crashed. I want to sync my ipod up to it, but whenever I attempt to, it wants to delete my library that is on my ipod in order to put new songs on it.

I had this problem before, but cant remember what I did to get past it. Nothing off of websites i’ve found has helped. Any advice / suggestions?

I have over 2k songs on it, so there is no way I want to restore it and delete them all off of there.

i took my iPod to the apple store today. To fix my problem they had to refresh it or something. So they did tht. When i came home to put my songs back on my iPod, i waited for my iPod to load. My iPod said do not disconnect. So i didnt disconnect it. It said ‘do not disconnect’ for an hour. And it wont let me sync my music! What happened, and why wont it let me sync my music?

I just bought an iPod nano 2nd generation. And when I hook it up to my computer it shows up. Then I sync all the songs I want on it an my computer says everythings on there. Then I unplug the iPod from the usb cable, go to music, and there’s nothing there.
          What am I doing wrong?
Or do you have any suggestions?

When restoring iPod settings, will it erase my itunes as well as my ipod? If I restore the settings, can I just reattach the ipod and sync it to my itunes?

I might be getting a new iPod; how can I transfer all my songs from my older iPod onto my new one? I’m not planning on re-downloading all my songs because that will take another lifetime. I need an easy way to get songs onto my new iPod that won’t take forever!
          – I’ve always managed all of my music manually because syncing has screwed me over by deleting everything off of my iPod once; so I can’t just sync everything that was in my library into my new iPod.

I go through my library and check the songs I want to sync and they will not sync in to my ipod. The songs I want are checked but it will only give me certain songs and I have plenty of room left in my ipod. What’s the deal?
