What is the best docking station for the video Ipod. I’m looking to spend 0. My biggest concern is sound quality.

My old dock wont charge my new ipod touch so i need a new dock. Whats a good docking system that has good sound quality and can play and charge my ipod touch 2nd gen.? Hopefully for under 80 bucks.

I just need any suggestions. I really don’t have a budget yet. So anything is good. I want one that has great sound quality.
I have a 80GB Apple iPod.

Looking for a unit with good sound quality. All the units I’ve read about on sites like CNet mention hissing sounds. Giving this as a gift so looking for a unit less than 0. Needs to fit several IPod sizes (ie Video, Nano, etc). Really want Radio and CD options in the unit.

I am a music teacher and use my ipod during lessons. I’m looking for an ipod dock that’s portable, but that’s got great sound quality as it’ll have a lot of noise to compete with! The iLab iQue one I have isn’t very loud and the sound is tinny. I know that Bose make great docking stations but they’re really pricey. Any other suggestions?? Thanks.

I’ve just purchased this docking station which comes with bookend speakers: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Logic3-Hybrid-Vacuum-Amplifier-Control/dp/B001IBFBUO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1235140704&sr=8-1

Currently its sat on a table with a glass top, a bit like this:http://www.konteaki-furniture.co.uk/images/zen_glass_top_coffeee_table.jpg

Would I be right in assuming the sound quality would be much better if I sat the whole thing on a nice floating shelf? I guess the chunkier the better?

Thanks!
Thanks for your response – this is actually for lounge and not bedroom. The floating shelf I was thinking would go just above the table, maybe waist height but could go higher (or lower!)

I was more concerned about whether the fact the speakers are stood on a thin glass table would have a bad effect on the sound quality and would shelves be better for this?

I just got a new car and it has an 3.5mm aux jack for my ipod. I looked online an there’s 2 types of wires I can use. One connects to the ipod’s docking port into the aux jack. The other connects from the ipod’s headphone port to the aux jack.

Does one offer better sound quality than the other?

Apparently there is a button combination of some sort, or some secret way where you can use your ipod to search through music instead of having the alpine cd player do it for you. The alpine cd player uses a dial to search through music, and we all know that searching through music on a Ipod is much faster and a little more convenient.

Ive heard its possible but i couldnt find a site that where someone was talking about it. It has something to do with holding down 3 buttons of some sort, im not really sure.

But it just runs off your Ipod and still acts like its running off your cd player so you wont lose the sound quality like you would using a auxiliary cable or something else of that sort.

Anyone have any idea!?

I have just bought a new good quality sound system, and have discovered the sound quality is crap from my laptop, so i am going to use my ipod to play my music. However will i get better quality if i use an ipod dock, compared to plugging directly into my ipod. N.B I am using top quality music.
I am considering using the apple universal dock…
Will i get better quality from an ipod than from a poor quality laptop?

-iPhone 3G
-My phone is White
I am looking for a dock that is:
-as cheap as possible
-speaker sound quality must be somewhat good
-looks somewhat good
-charges iphone
-maybe radio?
-maybe headphone jack?

Okay, the particular requirements I’m looking for are as follows:

- Charges the iPod Nano Chromatic (fourth generation)
- Comes with a remote
- Not too expensive
- Nice sound quality would be pretty great, too.

I had an Altec Lansing inMotion, but it’s kinda old, my brother stole it, and it doesn’t charge my Nano Chromatic.
So, what do you recommend?
Thanks in advance!

What is a good docking station that preferably has an alarm, a radio, charging an iPod and obviously speakers with good sound quality.

I am going to buy an iPod docking station and I would like a good one around or under 0. I would like it to charge my iPod when it’s docked, for it to have good sound quality, and to be reliable and not break easily. Any suggestions? Thanks so much.
i know its in the wrong section. i just need answers.

I have a bose ipod docking station and want to use a diffrent mp3 player (not ipod) on it, is there an adapter or some other way for me to use a generic mp3 player (ie. sansa, sony) on the docking station. I am willing to sacrifice some of the sound quality to get this to work. Can someone point me in the right direction to get this to work?

i want a ipod docking station, but i was wondering which would have the best sound quality.
