I had the Emerson Research iPod dock for a bit more than two years now, and for the first good year and a half, my iPod touch 2g (up to date) played fine. But for the last few months, it only makes a faint static noise when I switch it to the iPod function. It plays the radio fine, so the speakers arnt the problem, and it also charges the iPod and shows they’re connected, it just won’t play music! It’s very frustraiting and isn’t mentioned in the instruction manual. FYI it works fine on other docks, car jacks, etc.
Does anyone know the problem and/or solution? Thanks

I have an old stereo system where it doesn’t have an aux jack that I can put in. It has radio and sockets and whatnot and I was told that a certain station on the radio will play my iPod? But what iPod car accessory do I use for it, there are so many?
Thanks!

I am 16 so I DON’T have money to blow on something more than like USD more or less. Haha I don’t have an iPod dock, headphone thingy, or a cassette player. I tried plugging in though the cigarette lighter and that didn’t work so I just have the radio and a CD player. And my laptop isn’t compatible with my portable CD drive thingy so I can’t burn CD’s. Life is great… :b It’s a waste to burn that many CD’s anyways because I’m a big music person and I’d have about 50 CD’s by the time I’m done burning just the essential favourites…
My car is a 2006 Mini Cooper so if you have/have had one and there is a headphone jack that I don’t know about, please let me know. I’ve checked thoroughly though and I don’t think there is one…
And yes, I know I’m VERY lucky to have a Mini as my first car!!! I treat it like I would treat a baby. Hahaha

Something about changing it to signals in the air, and to tune your radio to 88.1 or something so you can pick up the music…
What are they called, and where could you pick one up?

The car is a prius and it only has a CD player inside. Also, she travels far distances, so I really don’t want to get the kind that attaches to the radio and comes in static-y between counties. I would love some advice. Thanks.

Firstly thanks for your time…
I have just bought a car that only has a cassette and radio. The dealer told me that I was able to buy a "thingy" that went in to the cassette bit to dock my ipod (when I buy one that is) but what do I buy, whats it called and where can I buy one at what cost…
Thanks again….

like, a band that you absolutely can’t stand, and sort of cringe at every time they play on air.
for me, it’s nickelback. for some reason, chad kroeger’s voice just bothers me SO MUCH and it’s like all they play on the station i listen to when i’m driving (this is why i wish my mom’s car had an ipod dock). but yeah, what bands/singers can’t you stand hearing on the radio?
BQ: what band/singer do you wish you heard more of on the radio?
BQ2: do you own a snuggie? (haha random, i know)
BQ3: has anyone seen princess and the frog yet? is it living up to truely classic disney standards?

What I want to buy are these:
- Radio Remote
- Power Adapter
- Universal Dock
- Remote (do they even sell this seperately?)
- AV Cables.
There are so many of what I listed above in the Apple Store. It says the Radio Remote is . Okay. The Power Adater is . Fine, but here’s the problem: It says that a Power Adapter is included with the AV Cables – but then there are cheaper cables that don’t have the adapter. And there’s the Universal Dock, which is most confusing. There’s one for which comes with a remote and a lot of features, including 5 Cables, which may include the AV Cables. I have no idea. Look at these two: One Dock has a remote, which I’d like, but it costs . The other one costs , with no remote, and I think no cables as well
Dock: http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore.woa/wo/StoreReentry.wo?productLearnMore=MB125G/A
Dock: http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/AppleStore.woa/wa/RSLID?mco=BB5CEBB0&nplm=MA125G/A
So which of all the above should I buy to get my list?
Oh, and these accessories are cheaper in stores right? How much do they cost?

I need one with speakers, radio, and to be used with all versions of the iphone. I got my fiance one last year for Christmas and he loved it but we broke it a few months ago. He said something about wanting another one but he wants it to have great speaker quality. He made the speaker quality issue very clear and he listens to all types of music (slow, fast beat, everything). Price range is up in the air so I am open to a lot of things.

I’m looking for an iPod dock with DAB radio and an alarm clock. One with good sound quality and volume and I’m willing to spend up to £80. Design wise I’d prefer it to be smaller than larger, although I don’t really mind the colour. It’s for an iPod touch 16GB.

I bought a 1982 cutlass supreme from the Auto Wreckers and it runs PERFECT. Its pretty decent on gas and i have had the dents fixed, and a nice new metallic black paint job put on it. I have had 15 inch p05s put on with black rally rims. It has turned out really nice, i do have some questions though. The radio doesn’t work, and its all original interior. My Ipod adapter that you put in the lighter switch doesn’t register with the lighter switch (doesn’t even charge.) Does anyone know how to make this work without having to get a new dock ( i have a nice new dock for it, but dont have the money to have it switched at the moment.
This is MY first car that is under my name that i bought and im having the whole thing fixed up. Its plated now. Does anyone know where i can get some nice seat covers (young teenager styles)
The lighter works with the car lighter but not ipod adaptor.
Also, there is a wire on the inside of the car that doesnt attach to anything inside. If you play with it. The radio starts working.

I read that you can only use the radio if your headphones are plugged in, however, I’m wondering if there is anyway that the radio will work when I dock my iPod on my iHome?

I have a 2010 Toyota Corolla and it has an AUX jack. Can this AUX jack go through the songs through using the controls on the radio (the guy at the dealership said you can) but from my experiences I have never seen an AUX cable that can change Ipod songs through the radio.
I have seen cars with Male to Male AUX jacks that can only change the song through the Ipod and not the radio. Although I have looked up AUX to Ipod 30 pin connectors, I feel like this would work but I’m not sure?
For example:
http://www.inspiretech.com/p-483-dock-to-35-auxilary-audio-cable.aspx – Will that do what I want it to do? and if so will it charge the Ipod as well?
http://www.sendstation.com/us/products/pocketdock/lineout-miniusb.html – Also, Will this do what I want it to do? (This one is more convenient for me because I have a Blackberry that charges via Mini USB and so does the Ipod
)
Just to recap I am asking you guys is the AUX jack on the Toyota Corolla (or any car) can change songs from from the radio and not the Ipod.

I am looking for one but i am not sure if my car will even able to play it. I got a Toyota Corolla 1999
old school. It doesn’t have AUX only Tape and Radio but it does have 12v output. So I wonder if the adapter will able to plug in and play music?
So how is the cassette adapter performance?

does anyone know anything about car stereos? I need a good ipod compatible car stereo, but i want to still be able to play CDs and radio. I want to be able to control my iPod from the radio, meaning I want my iPod to connect to the radio with the apple docking cord, and not the AUX in cord.
any ideas? also, id like to try to keep my price below 0, but anything above it would be helpful too

I have this exact iPod docking station that I use with my iTouch…
http://kitchendinner.com/img/Electronics/sony-icf-c1ipmk2wht-speaker-dockclo.jpg
Problem is, one day it was working..the next I went to put my iPod on it to play and it wouldn’t and still won’t play out of the speakers. I’ve tried unplugging it, turning the radio off (the radio comes on when I put my iPod on it), and pushing various buttons to try and reset it or something to make it work.
I’m not too sure what I did to it?!
Anyone else have similar problems with this iPod docking station? If so..how did you fix it? Thanks!

I need a dock for my iPod for my college dorm room. I have iPod touch 3g.
I want to replace my bedside clock, so it needs to have a clock, alarm, and a radio. Also, I have really bad vision without glasses/contacts, so I’ll want to be able to see the time when I’m in bed. My budget is 50ish dollars and I’ll be buying it on amazon where I have gift cards.
Your suggestions are very much appreciated! Thanks!
