Can I eliminate the need for cds with an MP3 player? Is an ipod just an apple brand, or if I wanted a dock with speakers or to use it in my car does it have the be the ipod? I’m looking on Ebay and kind of lost. I don’t want to spend a fortune but I want to switch to just digital music and be able to use it anywhere.
And can I get the music off my pc and onto the MP3 player? I assume that’s how that works.
I have a chord that you can plug in to a speaker or whatever and your iPod will play thru the speaker…..so do I need to buy a speaker or what? I am sick of playing my ipod off of my computer speakers….I am a musician and I want a really good sound, but I want to definitely spend under 0, what would be my best bet?
I have two really good Sony speakers, but I can’t figure out a way to plug my ipod in to them….

I need a dock for my iPod for my college dorm room. I have iPod touch 3g.
I want to replace my bedside clock, so it needs to have a clock, alarm, and a radio. Also, I have really bad vision without glasses/contacts, so I’ll want to be able to see the time when I’m in bed. My budget is 50ish dollars and I’ll be buying it on amazon where I have gift cards.

Just got a new usb cord for my ipod and two came in the little box. A short and long one. I would like to know what is the short one is for and why my computer wont recognize the ipod. how to fix or restore the ipod? Any help appreciated.

I have a thing in my car that connects to an iPod like the usb docking thing on an iPod wire. This lets me play my iPod through the car speakers. However, this thing was made before the iPhone really came out. I have an iPhone 3Gs, and was just wondering if plugging it in would cause any damage to the actual phone. If it will work or not is a different story, but my main concern is if any damage to the phone will occur. Thanks in advanced for any help.
Not only does the home button not work but now none of my computers will detect the iPod is even connected. Here it is when I cut it off and plug it in the iPod turns on so it knows it is being connected somewhere. It won’t start charging and iTunes doesnt see it. Now when I plug it into my dock in the car it works fine I can play music and it charges. What is going on? how can I restore it if he home button doesn’t work and iTunes wont detect? any suggestions
Does anyone know where I can find a discounted bose ipod sounddock (preferably the portable one) for less than the listed price? Everywhere I look, it’s from 0-9. Are there any websites where i can find one? I can’t even find one much cheaper on ebay!

Yeah, bose is the best and i’m sure it’s hard to find at a discount price. i’ll probably either have to bone up and pay the money or wait until the noteriety wears off and the price goes down. Last thing i want to do is get an "open box sale" and find out it’s broken.
are the connectors on the bottom of the ipod and the zune the same?
I bought a Griffin Itrip with dock connector off ebay to connect my Ipod to my car stereo, and while it came with the actual Itrip, there was no cord. How am I suppossed to connect my Ipod to the stereo without a cord, or can I get one? Does anyone know what exactly an Itrip is for? What is it called when you have the dock at the top of the ipod/iphone that you can slide your finger on top and it pops out with wifi bluetooth brightness etc options?
my question is I have a 2004 lexus es330 and I can’t find the AUX button……….. ummm is there no botton? do I have to go back to best buy and return that adapter and get the RADIO adapter for my IPOD? (where i can tune in through a radio station…) Thanks for your help!
