I am looking for a Ipod docking station for a AV receiver that has an optical audio connection between the docking station and the Ipod dock. I want to be able to keep the digital quality of the music going from the Ipod to the AV receiver
I have a ipod docking station, I also have 2 large speakers (impedance is 8 ohms). The docking speakers are not loud enough or clear enough however, it does have 2 RCA out ports (audio, white and red). My speakers have standered speaker wire. I know that there is positive ans negetive on RCA but don’t know how to deal with it. Also when I stripped the RCA there was another set of wires in each one (inside they were cased again). I know I can go out and by converters, but is there any way to do it my self?
The docking station has speakers that go pretty loud but not loud enough for a party i might have
my son has bought a new ipod touch and I was wondering if it is compatible with an ipod docking station??

Hi I am trying to buy a ipod docking station with speakers.
Thanks in advance.
Docking station which is compatible with iphone too.
So I have an iPod docking station with small speakers and low volume, but I need more sound so they can be used in the locker room. The docking station puts out un-amplified sound through a standard 3.5mm jack in the back. I also have two 8ohm speakers that need amplified sound, these have nothing but frayed speaker wire for input. I am looking for a solution for under 0 bucks that will produce sufficient sound and I could easily hook a sub woofer up to if I decided to get one.
For X-mas, my mom got me one, I thought it was really good. When I put the iPod in, and played the music, when the light for the iPod turned off then there was an annoying white noise thing coming out of the speakers. Then like two days later the problem fixed itself. Now the problem is back, but with more problems, and I didn’t do a damn thing to it. Before, the Ipod thing turned off when I pressed the button to turn it off, now it stays on all the time. Also, one of the other buttons I have to keep down or else the radio will constantly play. The only thing bad I did to it was actually breaking the antenna for the radio, but that was today, and the problem’s been for a while, and that was a surprise for me since I barely even touched it. I thought it was really expensive, but then I asked my mom and she said it cost , I don’t know, is that really cheap for an Ipod Docking Station? I hate when she gets me cheap versions that don’t work…
i have a goodmans micro1980dvd home theatre system and ive just bought a new tv so i had to connect it to my new one, the dvd and everything is working fine but my ipod docking station wont work, ive tried putting it in the audio input? and in my telly but it wont work. help?
I seem to only be able to find them on eBay but I’d rather buy one on an online store rather than eBay. My new 5th generation Nano refuses to work in my The Sharper Image iPulse iPod dock for some reason. The 2nd generation works fine in it, so I’m a little confused. Anyways, I’m in need of a new iPod docking station that lights up.
I have a Creative Zen M Mp3 player and want to buy a Philips SBD8000 iPOD docking station, and was wondering if it would be compatible, can anyone help?
Hello!
I purchased the Altec Lansing M602 iPod docking station last Christmas from Radioshack and it worked very well– up until about a month or so ago.
Whenever I turn on the dock, there is this interruptive ticking noise that comes from the speakers.
When the iPod is plugged in and playing off of the speakers, the ticking noise will cut off the music.
For example: "Birds come– *tick*– flying at the– *tick*– speed of– *tick*– sound– *tick*."
THOUGH!
Sometimes the speakers work perfectly without a ticking noise.
Today I used them for about 20 minutes without interruption– and then the ticking began.
Anyone know what’s causing this or if there is a way to fix it?
Thanks a lot!
-Cody
There is no built-in clock, haha.
I think there might be a shortage in the speakers?
If you buy an iPod docking station with speakers that are open instead of ones with mesh over them and it gets dusty does it play worse and do they get dustier quicker and break easier.
Thanks.
I want to know which one to buy.
Hi there, im currently spending quite a bit of money, and was wondering what to look in for an ipod docking station, detailed features as such..does anyone know? if so could possibly post some links?
Regards, Matt.
I am going to buy an iPod docking station and I would like a good one around or under 0. I would like it to charge my iPod when it’s docked, for it to have good sound quality, and to be reliable and not break easily. Any suggestions? Thanks so much.
i know its in the wrong section. i just need answers.
Looking for an ipod docking station with a remote, speakers, AM & FM radio, alarm with natural sounds, clock, and other gadgets. Please give me a name or a website.
I want to get my husband an IPod docking station for Christmas. We have an Onkyo HT-R540 AV Receiver. Does anyone know which docking stations are compatible with this?
I want to get an iPod Touch, but I’m not sure that it will work with my speakers that I already have, the iLive ICR6806DT Digital Clock Radio with iPod Docking Station (White). Does anyone know if it will work with the newest iPod Touch?
i want a ipod docking station, but i was wondering which would have the best sound quality.
I want to buy an ipod docking station, it needs to be GREAT SOUND. I like to turn the music up loud and don’t want the speakers to sound crappy.
It’d be a bonus if it were reasonably priced.
So I’m looking to purchasing an iPod docking station. The thing I’m most concerned about is killing my battery life by keeping it charging in the docking station. I’m wondering if there is a product that stops charging the iPod when it becomes fully charged…letting it drain….then turn the charger back on in order to keep the current battery memory.
Is this an actual feature that can be found? If not, what are the best iPod docking stations in your opinion?
I’m looking for an Ipod docking station that I can plug at home but also takes batteries so I can use outdoors.
Thanks in advance.
