I have a thing in my car that connects to an iPod like the usb docking thing on an iPod wire. This lets me play my iPod through the car speakers. However, this thing was made before the iPhone really came out. I have an iPhone 3Gs, and was just wondering if plugging it in would cause any damage to the actual phone. If it will work or not is a different story, but my main concern is if any damage to the phone will occur. Thanks in advanced for any help.

I attempted the rice trick for my liquid submerged iphone and to check if it works, I would try to charge it. I finally gave up and went to the genius bar and said it’s corroded especially at the bottom port. So, I got only a refurb iphone. Good as new.

Ok, I am looking for a docking system that is compatible with the iPod and iPhone that charges it while it plays and also has a built-in cd player. I bought an alarm clock app and I want to replace my real alarm clock with this alarm clock app because it shows the weather and news feeds too. But I am well aware of overcharging batteries as I ruined my Alienware MX17 laptop battery and countless other gadgets due to overcharging or just leaving things plugged in.
