Your Source Of iPod Docks Information
i have an 80 GB 6th. gen, ipod which works fines as far as putting songs,photos and videos BUT!! there is no audio coming out of the head phone jacks or dock station or car.
i thought that the headphone jack was the problem so i replaced it with a new one, but no change…. still no sound
i tried restoring it seveal times with itunes and via disk mode and no luck.
if anyone knows the solution other than taking it to an apple store it would mean the world to me
Hi, All! Thinking of finally taking the plunge on an iPod! I’m looking at the new 120 gb Classic. I’m rather overwhelmed by the number of accessories that are available for these things. What advice do you have for me? What accessories are the MUST-HAVES? I’m thinking some sort of case/cover and possibly upgraded headphones as good sound is important to me.

i’m used to listening to my ipod every morning and leaving it in the car, here’s the problem i listened to my ipod in the morning in the car it was fully charged and later in the afternoon it won’t open i was sure that i turned it off and locked it so i charged my ipod thinking that it was low battery but when i put it in the dock for it to charge it opened and showed the apple sign so back to normal again then i took the ipod off the dock and saw that it was still fully charged, after a while i wanted to listen to music again and it won’t open up again even though it’s fully charged it will just open up when i put it in my dock and charge it but other than that it won’t open up even though fully charged help me?? what happened??i have the ipod classic the 80 gb one..
Hi, I just got Sony SRS-GU10iP speakers for my iPod. I have the iPod classic (80 GB) and everything is fine apart from the iPod functions on the remote control don’t seem to work. Any help? Thanks 
Obviously I have read the instructions and can’t find anything about it. Would’ve thought I wouldn’t have to write that. Common sense?

I’m trying to figure out what to get my girlfriend for Christmas. She recently lost her ipod, and I’d like to replace it for her, but I’m not sure what to get.
She’s VERY into music, and generally takes her Ipod with her wherever she goes. Her last ipod was an older 8 gb ipod Touch. It didn’t have enough storage space for all the music she wanted to put on it, so I definitely want to get her something that’s at least 16 gb.
She also has an HTC Droid Eris phone (probably upgrading to a Droid X soon), which, I believe, covers most of the cool non-music functions of the ipod touch. She’s also kind of a techie, and loves cool little gadgets.
She takes her ipod to the gym, which makes me think the nano would be a little nicer for it’s small size.
Do you think it’s worth 0 extra for the 32 gb touch, or do you think she’d be happier with the much smaller 16 gb nano?
I have no experience with either of these. I have an ipod classic that doesn’t leave it’s car dock. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
Oh yeah… that’s the other thing. The Nano is available in pink, and she’s sure to love that! lol
what should I get, an 8 GB iPod touch or a 4GB iPhone?? I don’t talk too much, but I want mobile internet (doesn’t matter it’s EDGE, I just don’t want a 5KB/s connection). iPhone has an interesting back, but iPod touch has the charcoal face… CAPACITY DOESN’T MATTER!!! please tell me if, once I buy iPod touch, should I stick with 1.1.3 or downgrade and jailbreak (I don’t like the iPhone style Dock)
I have read about 25 reviews and 30 debates, so I know pretty much everything about these toys… I also used an iPod touch (a physics teacher gave it to me so i could play a little with it) please tell me which one looks better. I want answers from people who played with both of them… Don’t tell me about Archos 605 or anything else… iPhone or iPod touch

I just got a dock w/ speakers for my birthday, and just 2 weeks ago i lost my 4 GB 2nd gen. nano. So I’m thinking of saving up to buy a third gen nano and i was just curious.
I really want an iPod touch and next week for one week only they will offer a Logitech ipod dock with it for AU8.
So its basically cheaper with a bonus Logitech iPod dock added in.
Should I take this deal or wait til I have enough money for a 16 GB? Will there be better deals in the coming weeks?

I am new to the iPod world and plan on buying a new iPod classic 7G (120 MB). What speaker dock options are available to me? I see that some state they are classic compatible, but does that include the 7G 120 GB?

on the box it says all the ipods its compatible with and it says 4th generation ipod but for 30gb and 80gb an other gb but it doesnt say for and 8gb.will it still charge it and play the music?
Last year I got a dock, a wall charger and some other accessories for my 4th generation 20 GB iPod, but the iPod died a month later. This past Christmas I got a 4th generation 8 GB iPod Nano. Even though none of the accessories I got the year before claim to support the 4th generation Nano (because the 4th generation Nano was not out when these accessories were released), will they still work if I used the Nano with them?

hi, i was thinking about getting the ipod touch second generation, the 8 GB one, and i have a few questions. 1st well i have the original ipod like yes the 1st one ever made, and so i rly wanted a new one. But my mom was thinking of getting me speakers cause i don’t have any good ones. That was going to be around 200$. then i said well what about the ipod touch? it is only 30$ more so she said yea….ok so now i need to no if i need a docking station to play the music out loud or can it play out loud by itself? also do you need to pay to be connected to the internet? I was thinking that there must be some kind of monthly fee to have internet but it doesn’t mention anything about that. I thought that because i have internet on my phone and have to pay however much amount a month to have it. is it the same with the touch? and i am only 12 yrs old (dont say anything abt how old u hav to b on answers, my mom said its fine) and so is 8 GB enough for me? my mom has no idea about this kind of technology, so she doesn’t no. and we r a little tight for money and it is the least expensive one so i think it would be best.

I have an HD TV and an 80 GB PS3. I want to be able to have surround sound. Instead of buying speakers or a new surround sound system, I already have Bose Ipod dock. Is there a way and/or is it possible to hook that up to my HD TV or PS3?

My ipod makes these noises when changing a song–only when connected to a docking station or car charger, not when I use headphones. This is my first ipod, so I have not idea if this is normal or not. It’s an 80 GB Classic if that helps. I’m pretty sure that it’s the sound of changing files, but should I hear it over the speakers?
While trying to play music from my old ipod on my dock (Pure-Fi Anywhere 2) it began skipping all of my songs until finally turning off. Now there are no songs on it. Although it says there is only 9.1 GB of available space out of 18.5 GB. I had around 5,000 songs on it originally.
