Your Source Of iPod Docks Information
Allrighty so I have an Ipod classic 8gb and for my birthday Im looking to get something along the lines of maybe a docking station or some type of hookup to where I can plug it in and I can play music from my Ipod on my radio/CD player or possibly in my car.
My question is, what kind of hookup or docking station would you reccomend to allow me to listen to music from my Ipod in my car or on my radio/CD player? If so, where can i get one?

Does anyone know if it is possible to upload your listening history (from your Ipod) of things you listened to prior to registering with Last.FM and downloading Scrobbler?
When I’m listening to songs via iTunes then it automatically adds it to my Last.FM page, but is there anyway I can have it to count the times I listen to songs just direct from my iPod. I mostly listen to my music either having my iPod hooked up to my car or by using my docking station at home so would need to be able to measure songs listened on my Ipod in this way.

Cheers Matthew but that is what I’ve already done, it seems to transfer the history of what I’ve listened to via iTunes/my iPod while my iPod is connected to the computer but it has not transferred anything from when I listen to my iPod and it’s not connected to my PC. I must have listened to at least a few hundred hours worth of music on my iPod and that is clearly not visible on my Last.FM page.
I have a big speaker from a Sony cd player,i kept the speaker to try and add more bass to songs coming from my ipod dock unfortunately the wires from the back of the speaker dont have a head for connecting the speaker to the docking station so i was wondering if you could give me any low budget ideas to connect them? don’t be a prick please i really need to know
Or does it have like a docking station thingo that you have to attach to use discs?
I bought a Sony docking station and the speakers are really good however i can only plug my ipod into it via the thing that the bottom of the ipod has (not the headphone jack the other thing), is there a cable that can allow me to plug other mp3s or my computer into the docking station? I need an IHome docking station that is compatible with a Ipod touch 3rd gen. A decent price (under 0) would be great. I also would like an alarm clock and am/fm radio. All help is appreciated.

i have this 32GB 3gs white iPhone that i found, a while ago in the middle of the street, i posted a add on craigslist saying i found a iPhone and if they could identify it and where they lost it at i would give it back but i got no emails so i just kept it. when i picked it up the screen was all BROKEN the glass is all CRACKED but believe it or not the back is in PERFECT CONDITION!!! There are people around here where i live that can fix the screen and LCD and jail break it and ect… for like 0-0 or something, but i was wondering why when i try to plug the iPhone to my computer it wont to anything? nothing lights up,my computer does not detect it, i also tried putting the iPhone on my docking station i have but it still does nothing! What should i do? by the way i do also have a iPod touch so i know some stuff about apple.

Because of the bulk of the otterbox I cannot fit the phone into the docking station of the portable speakers. Is there a cable connector that will allow me to connect without taking my phone apart? Thanks:)

I have a 2nd generation iPod Nano, and it keeps freezing. When I hit a button it won’t do anything and when I try to scroll up or down it won’t do anything even though a song is still playing. It does it constantly and for a long period of time. The only time it doesn’t freeze is when it’s on the docking station in my room, so I can’t listen to it in the car or anywhere else. Please help?

I just upgraded to and iPhone 4. I have a dock that I used for my old iPod Touch, but it only works on iPods, and iPhone 3s and 3GS. I would like a docking station that works with my phone, has a clock/alarm, speakers, plays FM radio, etc. Where can I find one?

heres the deal. i have a ipod nano its about 2 years old. anyways i washed it and it only works when its plugged into the wall, basically its just not connecting with the battery for whatever reason.
i was wondering how the docking station works. does it plug into the cigarette lighter for power or does the ipod have to run off its own power? if it plugs into the car ill just use it while driving instead of just throwing it out. thanks
maybe its not called a docking station… i seen one in a car a few months back where you turned your car radio to a certain frequency and the ipod would play over the car radio… thats what im looking for
I plugged my iPhone 4 into a ‘itek’ docking station, which was working fine until the song I was playing had finished and I went back to the phone to change the song, pressed the main home button on the phone and nothing happened. The screen was just black. The phone won’t even turn on or off. I’ve tried resetting the phone by holding down the lock and home button but that doesn’t do anything! Please Help!! 
I tried every station not broadcasting but the sound was still very fuzzy. I live in a very populated area and there aren’t many stations that don’t broadcast on FM. Could this be the problem? Did I get a cheap transmitter ()?
Also, I was wondering… Should I spend the money to get a nicer one or opt for a portable docking station? If so which one? I would really like to be able to listen to the music in my car and at my house so I am seriously considering this option.

I have played with it like crazy. It does have a stonger signal in places but it still fuzzes alot… and I drive through 3 states to get to work (crazy huh?) so the placement changes as I go =(

for some time now i’d owned an ipod nano, and finally i can ask my parents to by me a pretty big gift… so i would like a docking station!
i’ve searched quite a bit on the web so i’ve developed some preferences, but all the ones that i like are no way too expensive! i would like to spend around 30-40 €…

that one is amazing it has lots of functions! awesome really but it costs over 90€ >_<

Well, I was using my iPod and I paused a song for a second, and set my iPod down (of course it auto-locked) and when I came back to turn the song back on, my iPod became unresponsive. It won’t light up or anything after pressing the center button and the top-unlock thing button. I’ve tried to put it on my docking station and to the computer but nothing is working.
Could someone PLEASE tell me what is wrong with it, or anyway I could fix it?
And if there is no way to fix it, is there a place I can get it looked at, and possibly fixed there?

I plugged its cord into the wall and the little lighted circle wont even light up, wont charge my ipod, wont even turn on! Its worked perfectly and amazingly, I dont understand!! I checked the cord, there are no faulty wiring, all plugs are in correctly, and nothing is damaged!! I have no idea what to do, i just got this docking station on christmas! Help

I explained every detail. The docking station is plugged in, but the docking station won’t turn on anymore, nor will it charge my ipod, nor will the light show.
Please recommend me a very basic MP3 player for home, lab and car use. I want a non-ipod, easy to move MP3s to it as files, not as tracks that needs tags, 4-8 gb,
the main quality – fast and easy operation while driving or in the lab – basically I want preferably not to look at the screen at all, but be able to change volume, folder and track with one hand without paying much attention. Ideally it should have buttons as on tape players and a scroll wheel for volume. You likely know what I mean. It should be smart and simple, minimum clicks… And it should power up and power down fast.
Also I am looking for a docking station to be used in the lab and kitchen, the one with a charger and speakers…
What is the best docking station for an iPhone 4?
That has a remote and also bluetooth if possible?
And obv gives out good and pretty loud music? Have been looking at Bose, but just wondered what else is about in the £100/150 price range? Thanks!

Hey everyone!! I have an ipod Nano, and usually just use it in the car…well, thinking of getting a docking station to be able to listen to it at work…I was looking at the iHome iH8B…sells for approx 0…I don’t need anything super fancy, as our office gets pretty dusty w/ the truck drivers coming in and out.. However, I also don’t want a piece of junk. Has anyone used this particular model or another that they recommend? I want it to be black, decent sound (needs to have lower volume settings, as it is in an office).
Also, what would you recommend to keep it clean overnight? Like, should I just throw a bag over it to keep the dust out?

My iPod Touch will charge on my docking station, but not through the computer. I know that it is not a cord issue because my sister charges her iPod with the same cord. Why won’t it dock to the computer?
