Your Source Of iPod Docks Information
I got my daughter an ipod touch for christmas. She has never owned one before, so to all you ipod touch owners, here’s my question….
What kinds of accessories are essential right away? I mean, aside from headphones (already got those) She’s 11 years old btw. Thanks for your help
I ask because I got one the other day and will be getting an iPhone 4S for Christmas. The packaging didn’t mention anything about the iPhone 4S as far as compatibility goes, but I assume that’s just because the dock is older. It isn’t that much older, though, because it’ll work with the iPhone 4. So, what do you think?
Want to get an ipod for my 12 year old for Christmas. I know nothing about them. What gb should i get and what else will I need to buy to go with it?

I currently have a 30gig video ipod and am getting an I pod touch 16 gig for Christmas…. i regularly use my road trip in my car and a Dock in my house. Am i going to have to purchase new attachments and fittings to make it work in all this hardware? If so, what’s the easiest, fastest way of getting them?

I have a set of Bose SoundDock speakers that I got for Christmas in 2006 or 2007 (not quite sure..) and I’m planning on getting a 2nd generation iPod Touch in the next few weeks. Does anybody know if my speakers will work with the Touch?

I just got a 150 dollar gift card for Christmas, and I’m not sure what I should buy. I don’t really play 360 games anymore because of college and studying I got and the ones I wanted I got for Christmas. I’m not sure if I should get anything or should I just save it.

- Just got Sony Studio MDR-V6 headphones
- I have IPod Classic 120GB (touch is to small for my music collection and I have Iphone)
- I got a Samsung Blueray player 6 months ago.
- I have a Yamaha Sound System with IPod/IPhone Dock
Thats why I’m kinda confused. I take very good care of my stuff and most of my electronics are less than 2 years old.
Good Idea About Laptop Ram. I Might upgrade mine to 8GB of DDR3, which could be useful when I need to run big engineering programs.

Ok, I am getting an Ipod Touch for Christmas, and BestBuy has a deal for an 8gb second gen Ipod Touch for 9.99 and you get a gift card along with it. I wanted to know if there were any accessories that I should get with it. I mean something to go along with my ipod touch, like a good case, a nice screen protector, and maybe something to charge it on the go with a battery charge kit. Got any ideas?
I plugged its cord into the wall and the little lighted circle wont even light up, wont charge my ipod, wont even turn on! Its worked perfectly and amazingly, I dont understand!! I checked the cord, there are no faulty wiring, all plugs are in correctly, and nothing is damaged!! I have no idea what to do, i just got this docking station on christmas! Help

I explained every detail. The docking station is plugged in, but the docking station won’t turn on anymore, nor will it charge my ipod, nor will the light show.

Well, we love doing both photography and listening to music, and if we were to go with one of the cameras, it would be our first dslr. Could you point out why to choose the canon over the nikon? And if there were any other places to get it cheaper? Thanks

I’m trying to figure out what to get my girlfriend for Christmas. She recently lost her ipod, and I’d like to replace it for her, but I’m not sure what to get.
She’s VERY into music, and generally takes her Ipod with her wherever she goes. Her last ipod was an older 8 gb ipod Touch. It didn’t have enough storage space for all the music she wanted to put on it, so I definitely want to get her something that’s at least 16 gb.
She also has an HTC Droid Eris phone (probably upgrading to a Droid X soon), which, I believe, covers most of the cool non-music functions of the ipod touch. She’s also kind of a techie, and loves cool little gadgets.
She takes her ipod to the gym, which makes me think the nano would be a little nicer for it’s small size.
Do you think it’s worth 0 extra for the 32 gb touch, or do you think she’d be happier with the much smaller 16 gb nano?
I have no experience with either of these. I have an ipod classic that doesn’t leave it’s car dock. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
Oh yeah… that’s the other thing. The Nano is available in pink, and she’s sure to love that! lol
I need one with speakers, radio, and to be used with all versions of the iphone. I got my fiance one last year for Christmas and he loved it but we broke it a few months ago. He said something about wanting another one but he wants it to have great speaker quality. He made the speaker quality issue very clear and he listens to all types of music (slow, fast beat, everything). Price range is up in the air so I am open to a lot of things.
I’m deciding on a set of speakers to ask for my ipod for christmas. I can’t decide which one though.

P.S. Do you know if it’s at all possible to use an Ipod alarm to turn on speakers, you know, for waking up and all.

My wife has an MP3 player, but she’s wanted an iPod for a long time, mostly because of all the cool accessories you can buy for it. So…
Do you think Zuni is better, worse, or equal to iPod?
Most iPod accessories have that connector that the iPod plugs into. Does the Zuni (and other MP3 players) work with that same plug-in just like the iPod does?
Also, my wife wouldn’t like the brown color (she’s more of a pink kinda lady). Have you found a good source for skins that would fit the Zuni?

I got an Ipod Nano for Christmas. I couldn’t tell you what generation it is, but its one of the brand new ones and it’s yellow.
It does not charge with my Bose Sound Dock, or the ipod connector in my car (which charged all me previous Ipods)
Is this just something with the new Ipods, or is there a setting I can change?
