Your Source Of iPod Docks Information
I bought a Griffin Itrip with dock connector off ebay to connect my Ipod to my car stereo, and while it came with the actual Itrip, there was no cord. How am I suppossed to connect my Ipod to the stereo without a cord, or can I get one? Does anyone know what exactly an Itrip is for? When I got my iPod Nano 5G it came with a device that plugs into car cigarette lighters. I can’t get my iPod to play on the car stereo with the device so it is probably just a recharger but I’m not sure.
Does it allow me to play on the car radio? If so, how?
And when I mean "how," I mean "how do I do it?"
I need a an adapter so I can listen to my iPod through the car stereo, but the car stereo doesn’t have an audio input, or a cassette player, so is there anything else I can use? Thanks (:

i want to listen to my zune in the car. I’ve heard about that adapter. It is a good option, is the sound good with this device? would be better to buy a new car stereo with aux entry.
Ive seen a lot of adapters that charge your ipod, but im looking for something that can play my ipod through the car stereo…any suggestions?

I am wondering what I have to do or buy to get my ipod touch to work on my car stereo. I thought I heard that you can just tune your stereo to a certain station and it would work but maybe I need to buy a docking station of some sort?
I want to be able to plug my ipod into my car somehow so I can listen to it through my stereo. I don’t know which one to buy for my car though. Here’s a pic of what my car stereo looks like:

I’m reading reviews on some cars and they are talking about how it has an "aux in port" but no iPod adapter. What is the difference? Won’t an "aux in port" allow you to play your iPod’s music through your car stereo too?
I bought a Belkin cord to connect my ipod to the auxiliary jack in my car..the only problem is I can barely hear the bass and the music dies out under the sound of the engine! I have to turn most songs to the max volume of my car stereo, but it still feels like I’m listening to music on a laptop or old radio. I have pretty nice speakers in my car; and when I listen to the radio or cds the bass is solid and the volume of the music increases as my speed increases.
This is a hard thing to explain to the people at the Ipod or electronic stores..and I don’t think the cord is defective…and I don’t want to spend too much on those fm transmitters or devices that are profesionally installed in the vehicle.
Please help if you have any suggestions! This is just unsatisfying b/c I got an ipod so I wouldn’t have to keep so many cds in my car.
And, if you have any thoughts on a good and affordable Ipod dock/speakers that I can play my music out loud at home and charge my ipod with.

I don’t know which to buy. I want to play my ipod nano 2gb through my car stereo. I’m having the most frustrating time finding the right adapter. My car is older so it doesn’t have the little thing where you can easily just plug it in. I guess I’d use the cigarette lighter, but I don’t know. Can someone please help and maybe give me a link?
I’m looking for a way to hook my iPod up to my car stereo. I know the cassette-player hookups are the best, but my new car doesn’t have a cassette player. I’m also trying to avoid wires that would require me to dock my iPod in my glovebox. Anyone know of a good hookup? Perferably on the cheap…
i want to play my ipod through my car stereo but i only have a radio and cd player. I dont want an Fm transmitter cuz they suck and the quality is horrible. Can anyone give me a suggestion and maybe a link. Thanks
I would prefer to use my ipod to select music rather than the car stereo, because I would think it would be easier
I am having a Kenwood DPX-701 installed next week that has a front USB port. My iPod came with a USB to dock connector cable for use with the computer, but I don’t know if this will work with the car stereo. Kenwood has an iPod interface, but I am not interested in controlling the iPod through the head unit, I just want it to play through the speakers. Any and all help would be appreciated!!
I purchased a new car stereo that is ipod compatible. The Crutchfield web site says that even though you can play 4th generation iPod through the stereo the ipods can’t be charged.
My father has been refurbishing a 1967 Pontiac LeManns for several years. He is ready to start shopping for a car stereo but wants an easy to use car stereo with a buiilt in ipod dock. Not a cable he has to plug the ipod into but a dock he can just slip the ipod into. I know there are new, factory direct cars out there that have such docking stations and am wondering if fabricating such a docking station into the dash or console of the car is the only way to make this happen. Does anyone know anything about this?
I have already seen several car stereos that offer a built in cable and jack for an ipod but none that have a docking station as part of the stereo itself.

Need to replace my current car stereo…the CDs are stuck! Is there a car audio system that comes with an iPOD docking feature? I don’t want to have to plug anything in other than my iPOD.

I’ve had an Ipod for about 5 years. My Ihome, Car Stereo, even massage chair all have made for Ipod connectors. Is there any way I could use a Zune with these? A dongle would be great.
I want to be able to listen to my iPod nano through my car stereo but I’m not sure which adapter to get. I’ve seen the FM radio type and I know some one who has one that’s wireless. So what would you recommend? And preferably one that will be compatible with older car models.
I have a car stereo with an RCA aux input in the back so i am going to connect a rca male to 3.5mm male cable from that and drill a hole so i can connect it to my ipod. i also want to be able to charge it at the same time. do they sell a cradle that allows me to charge and connect to a 3.5mm to the ipod all in the same unit?
I already know about the cassette plug in but I saw someone else that had a car charger that also played the music on the ipod through the car stereo and it was plugged into the cigarette lighter.
