Your Source Of iPod Docks Information
Hi so my Mum bought an iPhone 3G dock when she was meant to buy an iPhone 4 dock. Me not paying attention opened the box and obviously broke the seal’s. So will apple switch it for an iPhone 4 dock? I have the email copy of the receipt as well so do you think they will switch it? Thanks!
I have a white iPhone 3G S and it has a little crack next to the charging dock thing, I read online and it is called a hairline crack? Will Apple replace my iPhone?
How did the Nike+ product integrate with the iPod and change its menu. Are there other 3rd party companies that do similar things, like the recording add-on? Did they need Apple’s permission? Does Apple help these companies at all. I would like to make a peripheral that attaches to the iPod what should I look into?
What can you do on a jailbroken ipod that you can’t do on a regular one. Could it cause my ipod to break? And if my ipod breaks for some reason later on, will Apple be able to fix it, or does the warranty not account to jailbroken ipods.
I have an ipone 3gs, and the MLB at bat app does streaming live games to the phone, it works well. What I need to know and cant find online is if the Apple Universal Dock will send streaming video from apps or what ever is on the iphones screen to the TV????
I’m getting the iTouch next week and saw something on apple saying that it includes a "dock adapter and a stand". Is this the thing where one can put the iPod to charge or is it just so that you can put it there so you don’t lose it or something?
i really want to be able to listen to my ipod through my car stereo, but im not sure if this allows me to that ? It says it charges but does it also play music? HELP PLEASE!

I currently have an ipod touch and the apple universal dock but I hope to get an iphone 3gs soon. Can the iphone 3gs work on the universal dock?

Is the Apple speakers or Bose Sounddock any better? If so, which of the two (Apple or Bose) is the better one?
Can the cope with lots of volume for partys and low volume for when im in my room without loosing any sound quality at all?
My current iwantit is great at louder volume but when its just me, the bass goes, the treble goes, its just not as good as it is when its loud.

i remember seeing it on apple.com but now they dont have it anymore and i want it! it was around 89 dollars. it could be turned it on its side and it had a digital clock. it came in black and white
it was kind of a L shaped concept.
I have an official universal apple dock and official apple AV cables going into my stereo. I had the cable first and would use it to play my iphone and ipod through my surround sound and it charges it. I later bought a dock and tried it with the AV cables connecting through the "long" pin apple adapter, and it played music through the dock. I decided to put the dock up stairs and use the "line out" plug to play music through normal speakers and it worked fine. I want the dock back downstairs and it won’t play. I plug the long pin adapter of the AV cables into the back of the dock, I plug in the ipod and I shows that it is charging but it will not play the music. If I unplug the dock and connect the AV directly into the ipod it will play music but not through the dock. Trying to be as specific as possible and hope it helps.
Can I just slip it on the dock when I get home from work and leave it there overnight to charge, or will this be a waste of ?

I recently bought a iPod Classic 80gb.
My stereo system (JVC ux-n1w) doesn’t have a ipod docking thing, and to connect the ipod with the system i need a stereo mini plug cord. I’m wondering, with the recent issues about the ipod classic’s compatibility with third party cables and stuff, will a regular male to male stereo mini plug cord be compatible with the stereo system WITHOUT having to connect the ipod to the Apple Universal Dock? I don’t want to buy a Apple Universal Dock if i don’t need one. Here is the link to the male to male stereo mini plug cord that i am considering purchasing, if it works with the ipod.

The component cables are sold with the Apple Universal dock, but can be used separately.

I just looked it up on apple.com and found out what this little white piece of………something is. Its one of the things that comes in the box of an ipod touch. It has space to fit your charger in the bottom, but it doesn’t stand up on its own. What is this thing?

I have an iPhone 3gs and I want a dock to prop it up while it charges, I saw something on apple’s website it was a dock adapter three pack for 9 bucks. So my question is will that work as a dock?
In other words, can I make my iPhone function like it does in an iPhone 3GS dock when it is connected to a fm transmitter? or old ipod dock? (i.e. is there an installable option to force the iPhone to always use the built-in iPhone speakers for sound output?) I have an old iPod video dock and would like my iPhone 3GS to still make all sounds (keyboard clicks, music, etc…) through the built-in speakers like it does when placed on the iPhone 3G or 3GS dock. Right now only calls and texts make sounds (everything else seems routed through the dock as if I had it plugged into a stereo). Is there a application on cydia or elsewhere to enable this? Or can I mod my old iPod dock into making my iPhone 3GS think that it is an iPhone dock? I am trying to get my iPhone 3GS to dock without having to take off the case. (hence why I am not using my iPhone 3GS form-fitted dock from apple). Any advice or help is greatly appreciated.

Do you have to have the Apple Universal Dock? Or can it be used by a different iStation. My iStation is made by Logic 3 and was wondering if the remote will still work.
hey i just got my ipod touch. it is awesome (if you dont have one i would highly recommend it). i have a set of speakers that work really well, but it doesnt have a dock. I was thinking about getting an Apple Universal Dock and an Apple Composite AV Cable ( each). i have 0, and if there is anything better to do with my money, please do tell
The warranty on it is one year and after two months it broke. I;m tired of paying 20 bucks for a new cable each time. I can only contact Apple by phone or email if it is ipod or iphone related.
