I need help choosing a speaker system. I was looking at the Altec Lansing MIX imt800 and it seemed pretty good. However, I would prefer to have lots of bass so i want a subwoofer. I looked at the Logitech and it also seem pretty good. Bose makes great headphones, but the reviews for the speakers aren’t very positive. Which of the above is the best? Am i looking at the wrong speakers?

Thanks

P.S. Im not looking to put them in my home theatre. They’re simply for my ipod.

    Altec Lansing inMotion iM500

    opinions??? Thanks

I have a 4th gen ipod nano 16 gig. I used a JBL OnStage II it charges my old ipod but will not charge the nano. It says "Charging is not supported with this accessory" on the ipod. Is there a software update or anything I can do to charge this? I also tried charging on a Altec Lansing dock with the same results.

I got Altec Lansing inMotion speakers at Best Buy when I still had an iPod nano. The packaging says the speakers were made for iPod nano, and that they have a "built-in iPod docking station for data transfer and iPod recharge." I’ve used the speakers once before with my Touch, and it charged just fine. Now when I dock it, a notice comes up on the screen stating that this "accessory does not support recharging." What gives? Please be as detailed as possible in your answer.

I’m wanting it to sound wonderful & loud. I have narrowed it down to 3 favorites….

    1.Altec Lansing inMotion iM7
    2.Bose SoundDock Digital Music System
    3.Klipsch iGroove

I am really wanting the inMotion iM7 because it is so portable. I think Bose is overrated just because of it’s name. I don’t know much about the iGroove.

***KEEP IN MIND THAT I NEED ONE TO FIT THE BRAND NEW NANO (2ND GENERATION) IPOD.****

Will my ipod fit these sounddocks? Which one is the best? Any other suggestions?

Okay, the particular requirements I’m looking for are as follows:

    - Charges the iPod Nano Chromatic (fourth generation)
    - Comes with a remote
    - Not too expensive
    - Nice sound quality would be pretty great, too.

I had an Altec Lansing inMotion, but it’s kinda old, my brother stole it, and it doesn’t charge my Nano Chromatic.
    So, what do you recommend?
    Thanks in advance!

I have an Altec Lansing ipod dock i just got for christmas for my ipod nano 2nd generation, It says on the box that it works for my ipod. But when i connect it to the dock it makes a noise that it has settled in and connected but the music just wont play!
    Can someone help me?
I cant figure out how to make it work.
    Thanks

    Hello!

I purchased the Altec Lansing M602 iPod docking station last Christmas from Radioshack and it worked very well– up until about a month or so ago.

Whenever I turn on the dock, there is this interruptive ticking noise that comes from the speakers.
When the iPod is plugged in and playing off of the speakers, the ticking noise will cut off the music.

For example: "Birds come– *tick*– flying at the– *tick*– speed of– *tick*– sound– *tick*."

    THOUGH!
Sometimes the speakers work perfectly without a ticking noise.
Today I used them for about 20 minutes without interruption– and then the ticking began.

Anyone know what’s causing this or if there is a way to fix it?

    Thanks a lot!

    -Cody
There is no built-in clock, haha.

I think there might be a shortage in the speakers?

I want to get an IPOD docking station w/speakers for my fiance for when he works out in the shed. What is a good, affordable one with good sound out put? I was looking at an Altec Lansing. Thanks in advance.
