I plan on getting an ipod touch 2G for christmas and I’ll also need to purchase an alarm clock/docking station that will charge and play music at the same time. Could you recommend me a few and where to buy one? I don’t want to pay more than 0 for the docking station.

I bought an alarm clock app and I want to replace my real alarm clock with this alarm clock app because it shows the weather and news feeds too. But I am well aware of overcharging batteries as I ruined my Alienware MX17 laptop battery and countless other gadgets due to overcharging or just leaving things plugged in. But I really like this clock app and dock idea and why would they make the app unless you could do it like that? I know…to waste people’s money. Anyway, is there any hope this that I can make this work without screwing up my iPhone battery life?
Woa! Is that true about the battery? I always thought it ruined it’s ability to hold a charge.

I have narrowed it down between these three systems. I want to get something good quality, but don’t want it to be really pricey. I like the wireless remote option, but the bed shaker option with the alarm on the one might make up for it.. Does anyone have these and how do they work for you?

I am looking for an alarm clock with great speakers. And the following functions if possible.
1) When you have it in the base listening to music, if you receive a phone call I would like the music to stop
2) Listening to Pandora radio also through the speakers.
3) Waking up with the music in a crescendo voluime.
4) No need to put the iphone in airplane mode (due to interference with the speakers).

i have the alarm pro app on my iphone which is an alarm clock and makes the dock look like a clock also. my question is if i keep it on the dock with the app running with the time on will it ruin the battery on the iphone? it will be on all the time cause i have my other iphone i use for the phone and this one is only for the ipod and the alarm?

I’ve been looking at docks for my iPod, such as iHome, and I’ve seen a lot of reviews for them where people say that these docks are either great or they break within the first six months. Does anyone own an iPod dock with an alarm clock, and if so, do you like it?

My mom has a docking station that is an alarm clock at work an she would like an iPod an I want to make sure she gets one that will go in her docking station so all they all created equal as far as a docking station??

Are iPod speakers and that kind of thing compatible with other mp3 players? I really like Apple’s alarm clock dock but I own a Zune. So are iPod and mp3 docks/stereos compatible and interchangable?

I would like a dock that is able to be used remotely via a remote control. And that can be used as an alarm clock with my iPod songs as the alarm sound.
