Should I get an iPod to car adapter (Neo Prolink v2), or replace the car's factory tuner/CD player?
I have a 2002 Honda Civic, and it doesn’t have an aux port for direct connection to my iPod. I’ve heard the nightmares that are FM modulators. Should I keep the same system and use the adapeter which goes behind the car’s console? or should I replace the default tuner/CD assembly with a system capable of aux inputs? Which one would be cheaper/better?

For better sound quality i would get a new tuner/cd (also called a deck or headunit) that is ipod ready and plugs into the back of the ipod. I found its the highest quality sound and relatively cheap in my opinion.
The Neo Prolink v2 is $200 plus installation and some headunits are less than that. I would get a new headunit. It would be easier to install with ipod and would produce better sound quality.
If you do decide to get a new headunit please don’t get SONY they are very cheap and give out quickly. Also have a professional installer do it (audio-express or custom-sounds or another custom place) they do the best job and they are certified. The guys at best buy may know stuff but they usually aren’t certified installers
cheapest way is to use the adapter that plugs into the back of your headunit. the better option is to buy a new hadunit. the reason why I say that way is better, is because an aftermarket headunit will increase the sound quality of your music.
Look into either Pioneer or Alpine. One with iPod control built in. You will have much better sound quality than you do with that stocker.
I have a 2005 Civic, and I replaced my head unit with a Pioneer. It’s amazing, I’d definitely recommend just getting a new head unit, it makes it easier in the long run and it looks nicer.
