Ipod car adapter help!?
We have an suv w/ a cd player. What adapter is best for using my ipod nano? I’d prefer not to use a fm transmitter, because we’ll be taking a trip thru 6 states soon-won’t I keep having to search for new stations? I’m so confused about what i’m finding-I need a straight answer PLEASE!

It’s either FM transmitter or new head unit. Other options rather expansive such as putting aux out cable in the back of your existing cd player. FM transmitter is the best bet. The frequencies are usually unused by most radio stations and wont have much interference.
The FM transmitters aren’t too bad honestly. Go to the apple website and go to the store, look up attatchments for your ipod. There has to be something.
If you find a low-frequency, an FM transmitter can last for quite a distance (usually around 88.1 to 88.7).
I know there are a number of cassette deck adapters that are fairly cheap and easy to use.
A search for car audio on Apple’s Store returns almost all FM transmitters and a few cassette adapters.
You could buy a plug in portable speaker for the iPod. They’re fairly cheap and just plug right into the headphone jack on the iPod. There are none on Apple’s store, but I know that they are sold at places like FYE.
