I just got an iPhone 3G and I need help with something having to do with the set-up?
Okay, I just activated my phone and another part of activating it is to connect it with the USB cable to the dock. I did that with the iTunes open (the latest version) and a pop-up came saying that I can’t use my iPhone because the Apple Mobile Device service isn’t started. What does that mean and how do I fix it? Please help

Itunes is great for syncing the iphone. You can start up the apple mobile device quite easily. What that means is that the task or program that runs in the background of your computer that syncs your phone with itunes isn’t running. Either you disabled it somehow, a techy person disabled it, or somehow it wasn’t started in the itunes installation process. The good news is, it’s easy to fix. First you must be an administrator on your computer. If you own the computer yourself, this shouldn’t be a problem.
1. Close iTunes and disconnect the iPhone or iPod touch.
2. Choose Start > Control Panel.
3. Inside the Control Panel, open Administrative Tools.
4. Open Services.
5. Select Apple Mobile Device and click start the service
6. You may now restart itunes and connect your device
If this process doesn’t work, try restarting and trying again, if that doesn’t work, proceed to call tech support at 1-800-MY-IPHONE, or 1-800-694-7466, and follow the prompts.
