I have a sony powershot digital camera. What kind of memory card should I get? How do you use them on laptops?
My laptop doesn’t have a dock for the little cards. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Just bought a Targus memory card reader at Walmart ($8.88) and it really works great. Later I saw another brand at Ritz/Wolf/Kit camera for about half the price.
Sony cameras use a stick not a card memory, but would think both operate about the same. Memory cards/sticks can be damaged if not off when removed from cameras or readers so check out the source link and the excerpt below.
CAUTION To prevent data loss and memory card corruption, wait for lights to stop flashing then turn camera off before removing memory. For memory card readers, double click Safely Remove Hardware, Stop, and OK.
Sony takes a memory stick. Take the card out of the camera and put it in the laptop’s card reader. Some laptops, printers and PC card readers can’t read cards bigger than a G.
