I have a first generation iPod Touch 16GB and the home button does not work?

Not only does the home button not work but now none of my computers will detect the iPod is even connected. Here it is when I cut it off and plug it in the iPod turns on so it knows it is being connected somewhere. It won’t start charging and iTunes doesnt see it. Now when I plug it into my dock in the car it works fine I can play music and it charges. What is going on? how can I restore it if he home button doesn’t work and iTunes wont detect? any suggestions
