How can I transfer music from my iPod back to my iTunes OR computer?
So I had to change computers because my other one crashed. This iTunes recognized my iPod but none of my music is on iTunes, or anywhere in "My computer" but all my music is in my iPod. If you know how I can transfer from my iPod to my computer that would be great! I tried using software but i had to pay for it, and im not going to do that.
Someone please please help. <3 Thanks!

Here are some tips:
If all your songs were purchased from iTunes store, use "Transfer Purchases" option to transfer. See http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1329
If some of your songs were from other sources, you will need to utilize some iPod transfer program to help you, like this handy one called Tansee iPod Transfer
http://www.gutensoft.com/Utilities/Tansee-iPod-Transfer.htm
Many of my friends are using it for its easy and safe transfer.
With just a few simple clicks, it will help you transfer all songs/videos from iPod to your selected folder on your computer, and then you can also easily add those files back to iTunes.
More importantly, this won’t overwrite any original files on your iPod. And all song names are preserved.
Here is the step-by-step guide on the whole process:

Best luck!
You can also search more other ways at http://ask.com
Right-click on the ipod on the left-hand side of the itunes screen and click "transfer purchases."
In most cases you can’t. But you can try this…when you plug in your ipod go to My Computer and click on your ipod. Then go look in the iTunes library folder to see if all or any of your songs have the actual file downloaded to your ipod. But most the time unless you purposefully used your ipod as a hard drive they won’t be. Same thing happened to me and I had to pretty much redo my whole library =/
Good Luck!

itunes blocks this function since itunes is the tool with one way to transfer files from itune to ipod. you must utilize other tools to achieve that. There’re couple of tools for transferring the files between ipod and computer (for backup)depends on your demands, e.g transfer only songs/videos, transfer photos etc. You can have a look of below review site, hope it useful.
I assume you did not buy your music from iTunes store. In this case you cannot do a drag and drop into your iTunes. You need to use another software like touchcopy to transfer your music from your iPod to your iTunes. This software is not free. You have been warned.
If you buy your music from iTunes, the solution is easy. Press transfer purchases and it will do the transfer.
