How can i make my iPod auto-update its playlists to reflect changes in the related itunes playlist?

Basically, I created a smart playlist with my top rated songs, dragged it onto my iPod. Is there anyway that new songs for that playlist in itunes make their way onto my iPod automatically? If anyone’s wondering, I have a new iPod Touch, and I’m using a smart playlist if that makes a difference.
