Does anyone make an after factory car stereo with a built in ipod docking station?
My father has been refurbishing a 1967 Pontiac LeManns for several years. He is ready to start shopping for a car stereo but wants an easy to use car stereo with a buiilt in ipod dock. Not a cable he has to plug the ipod into but a dock he can just slip the ipod into. I know there are new, factory direct cars out there that have such docking stations and am wondering if fabricating such a docking station into the dash or console of the car is the only way to make this happen. Does anyone know anything about this?
I have already seen several car stereos that offer a built in cable and jack for an ipod but none that have a docking station as part of the stereo itself.

A lot of them do. I have a Sony that has an ipod jack. Just read carefully when you go to buy one that it has this feature or God forbid you have have to ask one of the pimple faced geeks that work at the electronics store where you buy it.
