I got my daughter an ipod touch for christmas. She has never owned one before, so to all you ipod touch owners, here’s my question….

What kinds of accessories are essential right away? I mean, aside from headphones (already got those) She’s 11 years old btw. Thanks for your help

My boyfriend’s ipod has broken, and he also needs a new mobile. He plays his music from his ipod on the docks on our hi-fi’s.
If I buy him an iphone he could also use it as an ipod aswell, but I wondered if the iphone is compatible with the ipod docks on hi-fi’s. Does anyone know if they are compatible? If so which models?
      Thanks

you know how in a normal iPod or iPhone dock it has the place where you plug in your iPod. is there like a Bluetooth part that plugs onto the same place as that so i can play my iPod from my dock without it having to have it plugged in?

I ask because I got one the other day and will be getting an iPhone 4S for Christmas. The packaging didn’t mention anything about the iPhone 4S as far as compatibility goes, but I assume that’s just because the dock is older. It isn’t that much older, though, because it’ll work with the iPhone 4. So, what do you think?

I really don’t listen to the radio while I am driving, I listen to my Ipod. My car stereo has an Aux jack in the front where I plug the Ipod double-ended male jack cable into. The other end, of course goes in the headphone jack of the ipod.

The problem lies whenever I want to charge the ipod from the dock connector AND LISTEN to music at the same time. It DOES NOT MATTER if the engine is running or not, but there is line noise coming from somewhere and heard over the car speakers, and I can’t pinpoint it.

The noise sometimes varies in pitch and sometimes it just stays at one static hiss level.

The car stereo is not the problem because when it is playing a CD or on a radio station, there is no interference. I have tried other ipods in the car with the same resulting hiss. The only two causes it could be is the cigarette lighter USB charger (I have tried another cigarette lighter USB charger and I STILL GET A HISS!) AND/OR the USB Charging cord which connects to the docking port of the IPOD to charge the IPOD. But I can rule this out because I HAVE tried other USB charge/sync cables and I STILL GET A HISS.

Remember, I get a hiss regardless if the engine is on or off and the key is in ACC (Accessories).

The only thing I think it may be is that something is not sheilded, like the audio cable which connects from the ipod to the aux jack in the front face of the car stereo.

            …Or maybe I am wrong…………I dunno……….

Is it possible to find a SHIELDED 3.5mm double-ended male cable to fit between the ipod and the car stereo aux jack? Think this would help??

Is it possible to find a USB car charger that filters out RF interference??? Think THIS would help??

………Just a note………its NOT only an Ipod problem either. My cellphone ALSO hisses out of the speakers when connectd to the aux jack of the stereo while charging from its OWN charger…

            …….Any help would be appreciated………..

            Thanks……..

I have a Macbook Pro, and an iPhone 4 with a dock. Is there any way to, while my iPhone is in the dock, type from my computer and have it go to the iPhone? For example, if I get a text while it’s in the dock attached to my computer, can I type the response to a text or something on my laptops keyboard and have it appear on my iPhone?

What stereo should i get for a 1999 mystique? Will any stereo work? Can i switch it to a new car if i get one? Will i need some sort of converter since i have a casset player right now? Also if it has an iPod dock that would be nice. Thanks.

So my 3rd gen iPod touch and my nano perfectly works with the sounddock 10 when used with the dock connector but it doesn’t work with the touch over Bluetooth. Every other telephones in the house can stream music to it with Bluetooth but not my iPod! Can this problem be fixed? Maybe I have to buy a new bluetooth adapter(I don’t want to)?

I saw a guy with a really cool case, but when I asked him where he got the case from he informed me it was actually a charger. That case would go onto a port and be able to charger his iphone. I’m trying to look for one now in the U.S. because the only ones I see online are from South Korea or Australia.

ok, so i hope this is the right section for this, it’s kind of a random question.
i’ve been working on my car’s audio system for a good while, subs, amp, speakers, etc.
i put in an aux. imput, that is for an ipod. i am trying to make this weird hole in my car into an ipod docking station. this wont be too hard, i have a good idea what to do for it.
the problem is i want to make it a telescopic cable, because i don’t want it to have to sit in the dock the whole time while changing music and everything. i’ve been looking, and am yet to find a telescopic ipod extender. i haven’t even found a regular extender for less than 40 bucks. i don’t mind paying that if i can make it telescopic. is there a good way to do that? or maybe just have a spool that it can wrap up on. make it telescopic that way?
does anyone know the best way to do this, and if there isn’t an easy/cheap way.
or if you have any other ideas to do with this.

My birthday is coming up and I was gonna ask for a Ipod.
Because it works with so many cool accessories.
But then someone told me that I should invest in an Itouch instead because the future of MP3′s will be like that, and the Ipod will kinda be extinct. They say I will have more use for the Itouch.
                                  However ?
I see my self using an Ipod more, like hooking it up to the car to listen to music, getting a boombox dock for it and just stuff like that.
What do you guys think? I mean I like the fact that you can go online and all with the Itouch, but it just seems like I can have both.
Which one should I get and why do you think so.
                                  Thanks for helping me :)
Or do you think I should not have a problem with the Itouch? Like do you think I should be able to do the same things with it? As far as accessories go?

Here’s a couple questions I have about it (don’t worry about getting exact values):
                                    1) How many songs do you have so far?
                                    2) Does it slow down as you add more songs?
                                    3) How many hour of video do you have on it?
                                    4) How many games do you have on your iPod?
                                    5) What is your favorite feature on the iPod?
                                    6) What accessories would you recommend [cover (hard or soft), FM transmitter, FM radio reciever, or anything else]?
                                    7) What feature would you most like to see in the next iPod?
                                    8) Any comments for the buyer?
Thanks very much for your opinion!

Heres the problem. 3 years ago I bought a new BOSE ipod sounddock for 0. A part broke and now I have to spend 0 to fix it. The bose store will ship it for free and repair it. Heres a picture of the speaker. http://www.i-weaver.com/upfile/pic1231357690.01-A1NDBS7YGOPBD6

I am debating on fixing the old speaker for 0 or purchasing this new speaker off a store on ebay.

It is Logitech and has bass, treble, and 3d stereo. Can someone compare these speakers or give me some tips? thanks

I have a Kodak camera which takes photos in HD. If you buy a dock for £60 it will display them on a HD TV. Was just wondering if I bought a PS3 if it would display them in the same way? Does anyone know?

Had it since like March and now all of a sudden, starting today, a message keeps popping up saying "This accessory is not optimized for iPhone. You may experience noise caused by cellular interference and a decrease in cellular signal strength." But nothing is plugged into the dock, nothing is plugged into the headphones or anything. The message comes and goes and I restarted it but it keeps coming up. Help?
