Connecting Ipod to stereo – problems using the dock? Any suggestions please?
I have just connected a new Logik stereo to my 30GB IPod, via the Logik IPod dock using a 3.5mm audio cable, the dock is also connected to a power supply. I can get sound from the stereo speakers if I use the headphone jack at the top, but not when I connect it through the proper connection on the dock?
This is really baffling me and I would so much prefer not to have a large cable sticking out of my Pod when I am using a dock that will hide it! Seems a waste of money…
Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.
There are no buttons on the dock, its a universal IPod dock. The speakers work as previously stated they work when connected through the actual IPod rather than through the dock.

We had no problems connecting my daughter’s ipod nano to her dock. I’m not positive of your problem. Is there a button on the dock for speakers and not headset? I’d read the directions closely, and if you still can’t figure it out, call the 1 800 number listed on your dock directions.
Maybe your speakers are broken. It is possible. If so, you will need to exchange the dock for another one.
Good luck!
