I just bought a Sony Vaio VGN FZ145E laptop from Best Buy. The sales guy told me there was a docking station available (there are only three USB ports on my computer) but that Best Buy did not have any at the time. He told me to check back. Well Best Buy still does not have any nor do any electronic or computer stores. I’ve searched on-line and called The Sony Style store. The Sony store only carries the latest models. I just bought the darn thing less than two months ago. I’ve tried E-bay and Amazon. I really need some more USB Ports. What should I do?

I have a bose sounddock and have no problems with it.
Yesterday, we removed the insert for my Nano so we could use a bigger Ipod in the insert.
Now I can’t seem to get the Nano insert back in place…

*** Do most/all Receivers have onscreen menu’s? (I Would like this feature)
And the most IMPORTANT… 
* I will be using (1) HDMI cable for the sole video source from the receiver to the TV. I will probably not be needing audio to the TV but maybe will use it. (I will mostly be using my JBL speakers for sound) – Front L / Center / Front R / Rear L / Rear R
*** I need the Receiver to be able to send anything inputed in it to the TV. So…. not only items that are plugged into the receiver via HDMI but also my Wii (which uses Component) or if I plug in something with Composite etc…

Right now I have a P.O.S. Onkyo from like 1980. I believe it can’t handle the wattage needed for this setup by a long shot.
SO!… I was looking at this Onkyo TXSR608 receiver-

HOWEVER!… the guy at best buy tells me its no good, that Yamaha and this other brand was way better.

Has anyone else run into this problem? When I dock my iPod in the Sounddock no sound will come out of the speakers and the speakers are making a click-click noise even when nothing is docked. Nothing changed from when it was working and when it wasn’t — it just started happening randomly. Any ideas?

Problem is, one day it was working..the next I went to put my iPod on it to play and it wouldn’t and still won’t play out of the speakers. I’ve tried unplugging it, turning the radio off (the radio comes on when I put my iPod on it), and pushing various buttons to try and reset it or something to make it work.
I’m not too sure what I did to it?!
Anyone else have similar problems with this iPod docking station? If so..how did you fix it? Thanks!

i borrowed my brothers bose sounddock to play some music in my room, but when my brother took it back the speakers don’t work anymore… All I did was play music from my IPhone. I read online that if you resent you phone it should work, but I tried that and it didn’t. All there is to the dock is a volume up and a volume down button. You plug it into the wall if that helps you figure anything else out… Please tell me what I can do to fix it. I’m in huge trouble and he’s pissed at me…

I have a Sony Handycam DCR-SR82 digital camcorder which connects to a USB port using a docking station and was wondering if there were any software programs, drivers, or hardware available to be able to use this camera as a webcam?
I know of some programs that do this but they require a Firewire port, and my cam connects via a USB connection, so I’m not sure if it is possible to do this or not.

Is the Ipod Touch 2nd gen compatible with the bose sounddock 1st gen? I’m aware that it does not charge and I know how to fix this, but does it play music fine? Is the only problem that it doesn’t charge? I am not talking about the Portable Bose Sounddock, but the older 1st gen ones. So if anyone knows i’d appreciate a response since I was considering buying an iPod Touch 2nd gen but if it doesn’t work with my 0 speakers I use to work out then it’s a waste of money. Thanks.
