can i use the apple universal dock with my ipod classic to play tv shows on my tv?
i have an a/v cable that i used with my ipod photo and my 5th generation ipod video. i wanna know if it will work with the apple universal dock.

Yes it will. I’ve provided a link to the Apple Site that gives an overview of how it works.
your AV cable works with your video iPod because apple wired it that way. their new iPod classic no longer works with the headphone AV cables. it only works through the bottom connection of your iPod.
to answer your question, more than likely, NOT! you would think that apple get’s a lot of money from iPod’s, but they really get their money from ACCESSORIES. i told my husband that when he bought me my 80 gig iPod. he didn’t believe me at first, but then he realized i was right. lol… try it first and see. don’t be surprised if it doesn’t. DO be surprised if it does.
