Can I use any radio/docking station for a MP4 player or only exclusively for IPOD brand?
My daughter will be getting a MP4 player for XMAS, it is the Augen brand, looks similar to the IPOD brand. Is the MP4 player compatiable with IPOD docking stations/radios? I want to purchase a radio for her as well but, I really do not know and I am not electronic savvy. Thanks for all help!!!

It depends on how the docking station connects to the player. Some connect via a plug that goes into the headphone port and others plug into the port that a cord plugs into to connect the iPod (or other player) to a computer. If you purchase a docking station that plugs into the headphone port it will work with any player, if you purchase one that connects via a different port you will need to make sure that the player has the correct port.
If you go to a major electronics retailer (preferably taking the player along with you if you can) they should be able to tell you which docks are compatible with that player and which aren’t.
