Is it possible to change the theme, that is, the icons and dock, of the new iPhone OS, without jailbreaking? If not, what does jailbreaking entail, and what are the pros and cons of doing so?

lol i know that sounds sooo stupid but listen….okay so my car is well…OLD…and doesn’t have a FM radio, casette tape player or anything for that matter. I tried just putting batteries in my dock and playing it but everytime i made a turn or went over a bump, the ipod would shift and my music would go off.

Is there a way i can plug my ipod into the dock? like with a double ended headphone thing? both systems have a standard headphone jack. Is there such a thing?? and if so, what is it called?? and would it work?

I’m looking for the whole setup, home theater receiver, blu-ray player and speakers. The Panasonic SC-BT100 offers all of that in one package as well as wireless rear speakers and an i-pod dock. Does anyone have a recommendation of a mix match group (receiver,blu-ray player, speakers with a wireless option and powered sub) that costs less than 0? I really like the idea of the wireless rear speakers and the fact that it has a blu-ray player built in so i’m really leaning toward the panasonic unit. However a lot of people say you get more out of building your own system, but I don’t know anything about the quality of blu-ray players or receivers other than what i’ve read about Yamaha. Thanks so much for your help. FYI I would like to use the unit primarily for surround sound satellite T.V. movies and music.

I’m planning on purchasing some Cerwin-Vega speakers. I have priced out some towers with 10" woofers, two bookshelf speakers with 6" woofers, a center channel speaker and a 15" powered subwoofer. I want to purchase a good audio receiver that has a subwoofer pre-out port for the powered subwoofer. I also want it to draw a good amount of power to the tower speakers as well.

I’ve had a 630w RCA audio/video reciever and I’ve noticed it gives off a fair amount of power when you set the speaker sizes to large in the settings. It also has a subwoofer pre-out and various AV ports in the back. However, it’s kind of dated now that new recievers have HDMI inputs and outputs and that’s what I want.

The center channel has 125 watts peak handling, the towers have 200 watts peak handling, the bookshelf speakers have 125 watts peak handling and the subwoofer has 200 watts peak handling. What would be the best home theatre receiver to get for these speakers?

I want a receiver with just the right amount of power output. Not too little and not too much; just enough so the Cerwin-Vegas can output the most power they can handle without the speakers blowing. I don’t plan to have this system turned up full blast, but I want to be able to have a "safety net" to fall back on so this system would be able to last me a long time.

I’ve been looking into some brands of receivers to get. I’ve looked at JVC, tried to avoid Sony, tried to find some Kenwoods to no avail and I’ve been thinking about either Onkyo, Harmon Kardon or Pioneer. I don’t want the receiver to be overly expensive either. The Cerwin-Vegas will cost 00 alone so I don’t want to spend more than 0 or 0 on a receiver unless I absolutely have to.

I also want the receiver to have an iPod dock or iPod input (with the ability to display video on a TV, but I don’t particularly need that feature) and plenty of AV and HDMI inputs. Well, at least 2 or 3 HDMI inputs would be great, because I plan to connect my PlayStation 3 to the system.

Can somebody help me to choose a receiver to suit my needs? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch!

I know that it can cause your speakers to pop if you insert or unplug an aux device while the volume is up on a stereo- does this hold true for a dock like the one listed in the question? I don’t want to blow my speakers:)

well, i recently got one of those portable chargers for iphone/ipod that you charge on a dock, then carry with you, to charge the device when needed. well i used it once, and after disconnecting the ipod on the phone wont work correctly. when i go to the "now playing" screen, it looks normal except the bar on the bottom that controls volume is not there, and nothing will play. any help?

I plugged my iPhone 4 into a ‘itek’ docking station, which was working fine until the song I was playing had finished and I went back to the phone to change the song, pressed the main home button on the phone and nothing happened. The screen was just black. The phone won’t even turn on or off. I’ve tried resetting the phone by holding down the lock and home button but that doesn’t do anything! Please Help!!

I have had my Fifth Generation 30Gig iPod Video for a long time. And in that time, I’ve collected quite a few accessories for it. I have several stereo docks, including an iWoofer, a bluetooth transmitter, and a portable video dock (kind of like a portable DVD player that you plug your iPod into).

I want to upgrade my iPod. Is the 2G iPod Classic compatible with 5G/5.5G iPod Video accessories? I’d hate to lose the ability to use all my accessories – especially since they’re all in perfect working condition!

I tried every station not broadcasting but the sound was still very fuzzy. I live in a very populated area and there aren’t many stations that don’t broadcast on FM. Could this be the problem? Did I get a cheap transmitter ()?

Also, I was wondering… Should I spend the money to get a nicer one or opt for a portable docking station? If so which one? I would really like to be able to listen to the music in my car and at my house so I am seriously considering this option.

i have an iphone 32gb 3GS and its still under the one year standard iphone warranty. Recently, there is a crack on the bottom of the phone (near dock/usb port) causing my iphone cord to not fit inside the dock. Does apple cover this, or do i have to pay to replace my phone?
