I have 4 channel kenwood amp. Its 60 watts rms per channel. I have it wired to 4 infinity reference speakers in my car. I want to put them in my dormroom for the schoolyear. How would i do this. I am getting an ipod dock with RCA outputs so im guessing ill treat that as my head unit and plug my RCA cables into there. I know i have to get an AC/DC converter and that i have to drop the voltage, but i dont know the best way to do this. Do the converters alter the current AND drop the voltage?? Would i just connect the amp power supply wire to the converter?? Anybody who has done this before or knows anything, please let me know. Thanks

I see multiple brands (monster, delkin, etc.), which brand is best for the car? It should charge the ipod as well. A holder is a bonus, but not a requirement. Thanks!

Does anyone have any feedback on this product? I’m thinking of getting my boyfriend one for his birthday. The portable model is significantly more costly, so I’m not sure the portability is worth the added price. Any feedback is greatly appreciated; thanks!!

Okay, so I got my brother’s car and his audio system was stolen so right now I’m driving around without music! It’s horrible, so I need to buy a car audio system. Assume everything is stolen, speakers, radio/cd player, cables, everything. I’m not actually sure what was stolen if it’s just one piece or all, but if you can compile a list of what I need to buy and what you suggest I should buy then that would be great. I’m looking for something cheap, REALLY CHEAP. I just need to be able to play some music while I drive. The requirements are, 1 need to be able to plug in my ipod, so something with a 3.5mm input jack (or ipod dock i guess), I need the radio to find new music (i guess make it HD radio if it’s cost effective), and that’s it. You can add the shittiest speakers to the list if you want, but if it’s cost effective to go up like, 0 total, then I’d probably go for that. So to summarize, total all the lowest cost items that I would need that meets my requirements, and 0 to the total cost and see if there’s anything better that I can get that is or is under the new total cost. Thanks.
          I have a 92 prelude.

This weird girl in my class wore an xbox live headset on her ear and then twirled the chord around her hair as a ponytail and the girls in my class want to make her think she started a trend by all wearing hair accessories that have to do with xbox or gaming systems or ipods to spoof her. Some ideas?

Hi, I just got Sony SRS-GU10iP speakers for my iPod. I have the iPod classic (80 GB) and everything is fine apart from the iPod functions on the remote control don’t seem to work. Any help? Thanks :)
Obviously I have read the instructions and can’t find anything about it. Would’ve thought I wouldn’t have to write that. Common sense?

What happens when the phone rings and I’m listening to music? Especially if I have it docked on an iPod dock (assuming you can put the iPhone on a dock). Will the ringer interrupt the music? Will the ringer be as loud as I have the music playing?

Hello, i am 16 years old and am getting a car next month. The car im getting is a mazda 626 (year 2000) This car is my grandmas old car and looks like its brand new. Of course all guys want a sick car to drive around in. I know i dont have the best car to supe up but i wanna give it a try. I plan on putting in a nice sound system with an ipod dock. It might be a possiility to put on a body kit with rims, but that might get a little expensive. So, i need some help:

*I looked into speakers and then my one friend said i needed an amp and some other stuff? If i want to get a quality sound system (primarily for bass rap) what should i be looking for? Any suggestions? Websites?

*Now i really dont know if a mazda 626 is meant to have body kits and stuff like that. But i was looking to get a full body kit, spoiler, and rims. But it looked rather expensive and i was wondering if anyone knew a good place to buy body kits and stuff like that? I really want the sound system, this would be a bonus. Is my car worth buying a body kit?

*The interior of my car is rather nice. I have leather seats and like i said th car is almost brand new. Low mileage… I just need suggestions on a sound system, body kit, spoiler, and rims. Thank you :)

I am trying to get a 200W Ipod docking radio.

I own an iphone 3g, and all the clock/speaker/ihome docks i’ve used make me put my iphone in airplane mode to prevent any sound interference. BUT THIS MEANS I CANT RECEIVE CALLS OR TEXTS!! does anyone know of any models of speakers that don’t make you go into airplane mode? maybe if a cord was used to connect the iphone instead of a dock, then the iphone could be positioned far enough away to prevent interference…?

I understand Bose is the ‘daddy’ when it comes to audio quality, which I agree with. But how does the BeatBox by Monster fare against the sounddock 10 through the following points: (the sounddock 10 is the big flagship model from bose for the iphone/ipod docking music player).
                                Refined sonic audio
                                Loudness
                                Bass

(baring in mind i know the beat box will probably be better in the hip hop department due to endorsement by Dre. And I’m using a iphone 4 so any compatibility issues please let me know)

I have no idea what to do, i just got this docking station on christmas! Help :(

Please recommend me a very basic MP3 player for home, lab and car use. I want a non-ipod, easy to move MP3s to it as files, not as tracks that needs tags, 4-8 gb,
the main quality – fast and easy operation while driving or in the lab – basically I want preferably not to look at the screen at all, but be able to change volume, folder and track with one hand without paying much attention. Ideally it should have buttons as on tape players and a scroll wheel for volume. You likely know what I mean. It should be smart and simple, minimum clicks… And it should power up and power down fast.
Also I am looking for a docking station to be used in the lab and kitchen, the one with a charger and speakers…
