my ipod nano wont turn off, reset, or go to sleep. what do i do?

i had it on the ipod dock for a long time. when i stopped listening to it i just paused it and left it alone, because it usually turns off automatically after a couple of minutes. i took it off the dock today to listen to it in the car, and when i got done with it i went to turn it off and it wont turn off. if i hold the pause/play button for a couple of seconds it just pauses the song. if i press sleep from the menu button, nothing happens. i also tried resetting it my pressing the reset button(center button) for a couple of seconds and still nothing. PLEASE HELP!

    Five Icon Dock and Switcher not working for 4.1?

    I just jailbroke my iphone 4 today with limra1n or something like that and I tried downloading five icon dock and switcher and the column one. The column springboard works but the other two doesn’t, I’m on 4.1 and I know nothing about cydia…. also, can you recommend good apps? Thanks.

    16gb Ipod Nano or 32gb Ipod Touch?

    I’m trying to figure out what to get my girlfriend for Christmas. She recently lost her ipod, and I’d like to replace it for her, but I’m not sure what to get.

    She’s VERY into music, and generally takes her Ipod with her wherever she goes. Her last ipod was an older 8 gb ipod Touch. It didn’t have enough storage space for all the music she wanted to put on it, so I definitely want to get her something that’s at least 16 gb.

    She also has an HTC Droid Eris phone (probably upgrading to a Droid X soon), which, I believe, covers most of the cool non-music functions of the ipod touch. She’s also kind of a techie, and loves cool little gadgets.

    She takes her ipod to the gym, which makes me think the nano would be a little nicer for it’s small size.

    Do you think it’s worth 0 extra for the 32 gb touch, or do you think she’d be happier with the much smaller 16 gb nano?

    I have no experience with either of these. I have an ipod classic that doesn’t leave it’s car dock. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
    Oh yeah… that’s the other thing. The Nano is available in pink, and she’s sure to love that! lol

    I am going to try to make this as clear as I can so that there is no confusion in communication. I need this for a master bedroom (decent size) and later it may be making its way into a living room. I also need to know of the choices I listed which one is the best one in your opinion, why, and do you have any other recommendations around/below 0. I have also heard that a custom surround sound system is always better (getting receiver individually and adding speakers later), I am not opposed to that idea but I just dont know much about this so I think if I buy the entire package its going to make it easier on me as far as installation and set-up is concerned. Also, with new TV technology about to be coming out, do you think its a good idea to buy this right now or should I wait? Simply put, if you had those choices above (also any others you can think of) and you know a lot about the trends and what-not, what would you choose? what would you do (wait or not)?

    Good iPhone Speaker Dock?

    Please read this before answering:

    I want a dock that is compatible with the iPhone 3GS and can hold the phone sideways for video playback. I also want the speakers to be on the front of the dock. Not pointed outwards on the sides. It would be nice if it was small and portable to bring with me at ease. If you could include links to websites if at all possible, that’d be great!

    I need one with speakers, radio, and to be used with all versions of the iphone. I got my fiance one last year for Christmas and he loved it but we broke it a few months ago. He said something about wanting another one but he wants it to have great speaker quality.       I noticed that in the last 5 years or so IPod docks have replaced cd players in boom boxes and home?

      theater systems. They even advertise that there’s a "dock for IPod". The obvious question that comes to my mind is WHY are they advertising for IPod, which is only ONE BRAND of MP3 player? Why don’t they simply say "comes with a dock for MP3 player?????"
      Am I to understand that all these systems are ONLY compatible with and Apple IPod? (!) and NOT any brand of MP3 player? It is very confusing, and it’s amazing how short-sighted these companies are. That’s like advertising a house that comes with a garage for "a Honda Accord", rather than for a "car". Can someone PLEASE explain?

      Iphone dock extender..?

      I’m looking for a dock extender for my iphone because i have an iHome but i have an otterbox commuter case on my iphone and don’t feel like taking it off every single time i want to use my iHome. so does anyone know of a good dock extender for iphone that will function the same as if i had it hooked up to the actual dock AND WILL CHARGE MY PHONE at the same time?
