I bought a Belkin cord to connect my ipod to the auxiliary jack in my car..the only problem is I can barely hear the bass and the music dies out under the sound of the engine! I have to turn most songs to the max volume of my car stereo, but it still feels like I’m listening to music on a laptop or old radio. I have pretty nice speakers in my car; and when I listen to the radio or cds the bass is solid and the volume of the music increases as my speed increases.
This is a hard thing to explain to the people at the Ipod or electronic stores..and I don’t think the cord is defective…and I don’t want to spend too much on those fm transmitters or devices that are profesionally installed in the vehicle.
Please help if you have any suggestions! This is just unsatisfying b/c I got an ipod so I wouldn’t have to keep so many cds in my car.
And, if you have any thoughts on a good and affordable Ipod dock/speakers that I can play my music out loud at home and charge my ipod with.

I have narrowed it down between these three systems. I want to get something good quality, but don’t want it to be really pricey. I like the wireless remote option, but the bed shaker option with the alarm on the one might make up for it.. Does anyone have these and how do they work for you?

How long does the iPhone battery last before replacement?
Like charge cycle wise, not time. Like I heard it was 300 charges then you need to send in for replacement? If it is 300, is it 300 FULL charges? As in your iPhone dies, and won’t turn on because it has no battery? Or regardless any charges to the dock it counts?

In other words, can I make my iPhone function like it does in an iPhone 3GS dock when it is connected to a fm transmitter? or old ipod dock? (i.e. is there an installable option to force the iPhone to always use the built-in iPhone speakers for sound output?) I have an old iPod video dock and would like my iPhone 3GS to still make all sounds (keyboard clicks, music, etc…) through the built-in speakers like it does when placed on the iPhone 3G or 3GS dock. Right now only calls and texts make sounds (everything else seems routed through the dock as if I had it plugged into a stereo). Is there a application on cydia or elsewhere to enable this? Or can I mod my old iPod dock into making my iPhone 3GS think that it is an iPhone dock? I am trying to get my iPhone 3GS to dock without having to take off the case. (hence why I am not using my iPhone 3GS form-fitted dock from apple). Any advice or help is greatly appreciated.

I have a 16′ Bayliner runabout that I bought in 2002. I would like to upgrade, but my wife likes the smaller boat, cheaper docking fees, etc. We have come to a compromise that I am going to buy a bigger engine for it, so I can get some more speed.
I currently have a 2003 Mercury 50HP 2 stroke, and am looking to upgrade to a 75 hp or 90 hp. I have been told that Yamaha is the way to go. I understand that the 90 HP 4 stroke will be too heavy for my boat, therefore, I have to look at the 90 HP 2 stroke. I have heard in the past that the 2 strokes will be discontinued, so if this is true, does it still pay to buy one, even though there are plenty of parts/mechanics who will service them?
What would be my best bet, more HP but 2 stroke, or less HP with a 4 stroke? Which manufacturer do you recommend?
