I might be getting a new iPod; how can I transfer all my songs from my older iPod onto my new one? I’m not planning on re-downloading all my songs because that will take another lifetime. I need an easy way to get songs onto my new iPod that won’t take forever!
– I’ve always managed all of my music manually because syncing has screwed me over by deleting everything off of my iPod once; so I can’t just sync everything that was in my library into my new iPod.

I got a 1st gen ipod but I cant find a case for it anywhere so can I buy a 2nd gen case and use it on my 1st gen?
When I put it on, it will play, but it says that it is not supported for charging, but on the box it says it is. I don’t have an ipod dock adapter (that white part) currently, as I lost it. If I were to replace it, should it charge? Thanks
You know how with some songs on your ipod, certain instruments will be heard in one bud and other instruments and vocals will be heard on the other?
For some reason this has always freaked me out and gives me a headache. I want to know if there’s any way to make it so that both earbuds play the entire song and it isn’t split up at all. Is this possible?
Okay, question still stands. Is there any way to convert the song so it doesn’t do that?
I have the 5th generation iPod, the iPod video 30 gb.
Thank You
i need to find somewhere to sell my dock, any suggestions?
On one pc have an Apple iPod library with 3750 tracks on. But I have now got a new pc. I have activated the pc to be able to use my Ipod but, I cannot add any tracks off the new pc without deleting the library on my iPod. Is there a way do do this without having to re do all my music. Thanks in anticipation.
I have an iPod mini (not a shuffle, a mini) and I am needing an FM transmitter so I can listen to the iPod through my car stereo system (no I don’t have a jack for an iPod my car). There are a lot out there, and I wanted some opinions on which are good and which aren’t. I have heard that some are less clear than others, some easier to use, etc. Preferrable I want one with a dock that plugs in and charges the iPod, too. Specific brand names, please. Thanks for your help!
*prefferably* sorry
Sparky: Do I have to get something like that installed?
Things like headphones, speakers, maybe even combination dvd player?
Protectors and cars mounts as well. I have done a lot of research online but am interested in hearing what other poeple say – not just the search engines.
The product I have now is a cradle that plugs into lighter. Whenever I hit a bump in the road it slightly disconnects from socket. I need another option.
I transferred my installous apps to the itunes store when my ipod was jailbroken. When i unjailbroke my ipod it took them back off. Now that its not jailbroken, how do i get them back onto the ipod?
I feel stupid for not knowing how to figure it out. My mom got one and we both have the ipod nanos. The dock didn’t come with instructions (aside from a few pictures). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I’m looking for a device that allows me to play the songs from my ipod library through my car speakers.
I have heard about the FM transmitters, and finding a correct station to match with your car radio, but I’m wondering what that has to do with anything and why that’s significant to listening to music through the stereo.
In simpler terms, how does the FM transmitter/car adapter work if I want to use it in my car?
Please help – thanks!
It’s like a iPod / iPhone dock but, it doesn’t have its own speakers, instead it just had a remote to change the song, and cables to connect it to a amplifier.
Desperatly want one, but don’t know what its called?
Thanks!
xx
When I plug my friend’s ipod into the usb on my computer only my itune’s library comes up. It asks me if I want to syc my friend’s with mine & I don’t because it will delete all of her songs. I just want to add some of mine to hers but I can’t get her library to open on my computer. Even if my ipod is not plugged in at the same time. What software do I need to see her ipod shuffle library?
My mother just gave me an ipod sound dock from bose and its portable and it comes with an adapter and such.. My question is.. does the sound dock have an alarm? like if i set an alarm to my ipod will it go off on my dock?
I bought the Yamaha HTR-6230 Home Theater in A Box. You adjust the audio and it goes down so the lower it goes the louder it gets, the higher it gets the softer it gets. The most I usually turn it to is like -32. The highest it goes is +35 and I’ve only had this sound system for like a month or so. I also have the Yamaha Universal Dock and I played a few rock songs on it and the subwoofer seemed extremely low and not as powerful as I remember it being. I put my hand next to the air thing that it blows out on every beat and I barely felt anything. It is on, the wire is attached perfectly. The power that I am giving it it individually is like VERY little over half way up. How can I tell it is blown without taking anything OFF of the subwoofer, something easy since I am new to this. I’m just confused and want to know.
Thanks.
Some songs sound GREAT with the subwoofer and it works fine and others it is very low and dull.
I have have this subwoofer for a month and even out of the box, anywhere under like -35 sounds REALLY low and shitty. Right now I’m listening to a hardcore rock song on -35 and the subwoofer is working fine…UGH I’m so CONFUSED!!!!
Anyone have the Klipsch iGroove SXT? it costs about 150 dollars it is much less expensive than the Bose speaker systems… I just want to make sure that its a good product for the price…
thanks!
I am new to the whole owning an ipod thing……
I just purchased an Onkyo Receiver that is Sirius Satellite Ready. It has a spot for an antenna. I currently have a Sirius radio with a car dock and a home dock. Can I use the Satellite antenna from that radio? Or do I have to buy another antenna and add an additional subscription? I currently have one for me and one for my wife.
I have a sony trinitron television, an onkyo reciever with surround sound, a playstation 3, two different ipod docks, (one for video, one for sound, and a hampton cieling fan, what I would really love is a universal remote that can control all of these devices, does anyone know anything that would work?
My charger is a griffin mains plug which charges up my iPod, but when I try and charge up my iPod through the universal dock – nothing happens..?
Now I believe this is because the output of the charger is not the USB standard (5volts), its attually around 18volts – which is fine for my iPod but the dock doesn’t like it. Anyway back to my question..
Was going to get an offical apple one – but the reviews I have read arn’t great.. "adapter comes in two parts and these have to be fitted together. It is a push fit and the two parts do not lock together" *sigh*
I’ve been looking on eBay for a UK mains to USB adapter. I’ve found several but they all say the output of them is 5volts (+/- 5%)
Here is one.. http://item.express.ebay.co.uk/__Mobile-Phone-Chargers_Switch-Mode-5v-DC-Power-Supply-with-USB-Port_W0QQitemZ110230398765QQihZ001QQptdnZMobileQ20PhoneQ20ChargersQQptdiZ1730QQcmdZExpressItem
I want to know if this will work on my dock. Please help
Petexx..
I’m getting an ipod touch, and I was just wondering what the difference between an iPod Touch 1st generation and an iPod touch 2nd generation was.
Like, what are the different features?
Please help!
Oh, and are the differences to major, that I would seriously be missing out on something if I got the 1st generation?
I am interested in buying the Ihome2go, which needs a 30 pin dock connector. Does the ipod touch have a 30 pin dock connector?
